Super 8 by Wyndham Baxter/Brainerd Area

I paid almost $300 for one night and would never come back or recommend this hotel to anyone. My room was supposed to have a queen bed, the bed was more like a double bed. The room smelled awful, the bathroom facilities were stained and bathtub missing the drain cover. Only 2 outlets in the entire room, one used entirely by appliances. The front desk attendant was impossible to understand because he had so much chew in his mouth I had to repeatedly ask him to repeat himself. One of the most awful hotel experiences ever, and they had the nerve to charge this extreme fee during NHRA Nationals.

We go to Brainerd Raceway for trackdays relatively often and always stay here. It's clean, quiet, good staff and convenient.

This hotel used to be ok but has turned into a dump with cheap owners that question anything additional you request like towels or toilet paper.

Accommodating, courteous and pleasant. Staff was very friendly and rooms were clean, Someone was always available should help or service be needed. 24/7 available coffee was very nice too for long days/nights. Would definitely stay here again!

This Super 8 was convenient and many eating places and shops close by! I asked for bottled water as there was only soda in the vending machine, and YES! I paid for water at the front desk!

We stayed here over other options based on Trip Advisor good reviews. Couldn't be more disappointed. Lady checking is in wore old t-shirt & slippers. Room was pretty clean but broken door nob, mold on window. Heat was set at 75 when we came in. We turned down to 66 but it would still kick in & out. 5 hours later shut it off. Room was still overly warm by morning despite teens outside. Finally opened window. Breakfast was awful. Gallon milk jug empty so no milk for cereal. Though at a place like this probably wouldn't want to use from community jug. Husband tried to make waffles. Timer was broke & machine didn't get hot enough to cook it. So was going to try the other machine. Took a closer look at the batter out of dispenser....it was dark color & smelled [old]. We decided to go out to eat. Should have spend extra $35 up front & stayed at Country Inn & Suites. My very last stay at a Super8 regardless of any reviews.

Not the best, not the worst. Certainly nothing special about the room, standard Super 8 beds, breakfast was basic, beds were a bit hard. Though the reviews led us here was not comfortable there all night. The price is right but probably wouldn't go back.

A nice simple place to stay in the area. Lower cost than most because most of the hotels are way overpriced in the Brainerd MN area. The breakfast could be spiced up a little and the towels need to be replaced.

Stained bedspread. TV didn't have sound on half the channels. Walls/doors paper thing- didn't sleep at all and I never have problems sleeping. Gap in window so could hear parking lot noise all night as well. Wyndham should be ashamed to have their name on this property.
