Vista Sol Punta Cana Beach Resort & Spa - All Inclusive

We arrived at vistasol and were greeted by friendly reception. We were then checked in,our room was a triple deluxe room ,basically a room with 3 beds. We were told at check in that for 15 dollars a night more We could have a sea view room,we politely declined and were taken to our room by a porter. When we got there block 5 we opened the door and smelt a very strong musty smell,we checked the room and it wasn't pleasant because of the smell so we decided to go back to reception to take up the offer of a sea view,they tried to sell us a duplex for 400 dollars but told them I would like the sea view room,so for 150 dollars we took the Seaview room.we were shown to block 10 which was right on the edge of the beach a wonderful location. The room smelt a little musty but not as bad as the previous room,the room had 2 double rbeds ,tea and coffee ,watering the fridge,a shower and wash area. The room was very good so was pleased we upgraded. Getting a room by the pools can be noisy so highly recommend block 10 right by the beach. Staff are friendly, I highly recommend speaking some simple spanish words to say hello and thankyou,it goes a long way to be friendly.you get a nicer welcome.bar staff great buffet was good most days,different foods most days and friendly atmosphere. I took about 150 dollars for tipping ,you don't have to tip but it goes very appreciated. Nice grounds with tropical birds walking about and even ducks.they have a spa gym 4 themed restaurants. 3 pools with some having bar service.i would recommend this hotel it has a nice beach with animation team keeping guests active. Now the main complaint i had was all the aagasson on the beach and sea,it actually smelt bad.the hotel staff cleared most of the beach as the week went on,they actually done a great job considering what we saw in the beginning. The best time to visit dominican republic is from November to marc ,you don't get much sagasson.we had plenty of nice weather in middle of August early September. You want a nice trip go to saona island a tropical paradise island with great beach and clear sea .you travel to this island by speed boat or cataram, highly recommend.

We stayed at Vista Sol Punta Cana from July 31 to August 5, 2025, and I can honestly say it was the worst experience I’ve had in the DR — and I’ve been here dozens of times. We were misled about a dinner reservation, made to wait 2 hours, only to be told “go eat at the buffet” with no apology. A security guard falsely accused my family of stealing a beach bag without even asking questions — yelling in front of other guests. Turns out my daughter had accidentally brought the wrong bag to our room. We returned it immediately, but the damage was done. The staff (not all, but most) were rude, unhelpful, and acted like guests were a burden — until a supervisor was nearby. And to top it off, there were cockroaches near our room — I even took pictures because I couldn’t believe it. I brought friends from Jamaica to show off my home country, and instead, they left with a bad impression. That’s what hurts the most. Not asking for anything — just warning others. This resort needs serious changes in staff training, hospitality, and hygiene.

I love everything except de buffet.. but all the personal are great. I recommend to change the type of food.. The reserve rest are great, just change the buffet.. Add seafood to be part of the buffet.. near the beach are great… all the activities are 100% great

Animation team was my favorite,especially Flor and Francisco. Thanks for everything,all the stuff is amazing and they will treat you amazing. I will be back!
