Royalton Bavaro, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort & Casino

Excellent service. People working there were always very helpful whenever assistance was needed. Food was tasty, and the room we booked (suite with swim out) was awesome. The place is very big, so be aware that there will be quite a bit of walking to get to the lobby (where most restaurants are). When getting ready to leave, you can ask for the bellboys to get the baggage with you back to the lobby in one of the golf cars that they use to move around.

We stayed at this hotel for two weeks. We are very open-minded travellers and we had already read some negative reviews before arriving, so our expectations were realistic. We simply wanted to relax and enjoy our holiday together. There are definitely some positives. The beach is truly beautiful and there are plenty of sunbeds around the pools and on the beach, which makes it easy to find a place to relax. The lazy river is fun and we enjoyed spending time there. The evening shows were also very entertaining and created a lively atmosphere. However, the biggest issue during our stay was cleanliness. Both myself and my boyfriend became unwell, and we noticed many other guests were also sick. The hallways and communal areas didn’t seem to be cleaned regularly. The floors around the pools were often dirty and stayed dirty throughout the day. It gave the impression that deep cleaning or proper daily cleaning routines were not being done. When you can clearly see that the public areas are not being kept clean, it raises concerns about hygiene in the places you can’t see — especially the kitchen and food preparation areas. It’s worrying, and it takes away from being able to relax and enjoy the holiday fully. This hotel really has potential — the beach, entertainment, and layout are lovely. But cleanliness is the most basic and essential standard, and right now it feels like it’s not being taken seriously enough. If the hotel improved hygiene practices and proper cleaning, it could be a fantastic place to stay. Until then, it’s difficult to recommend.

Our Butler Ryan made our trip!!!! He was amazing , he was dealing with many of our families and always accommodated us with dinner reservations and anything else we needed. The resort was beautiful and it was one of the best vacations we’ve been on as a family if 6.

Beach, room, pools, amenities, and diamond club services exceeded expectations. We enjoyed Breakfast and lunch - dinners have some opportunity. Was a great layout and easy to navigate - all the service staff were very friendly and made us feel special.

Our family vacation at Royalton Bavaro was enjoyable overall. We upgraded to Diamond Club, which I highly recommend—it made check-in and check-out much smoother. We had Delvis as our butler, and he truly made our stay extra special, he checked on us daily and always had a positive attitude. The Diamond Club pool was my favorite spot, and having access to an additional buffet was super convenient. Most of the staff were amazing. Special shoutout to Yuleimi Figueroa, the hostess at the DC buffet—she was incredibly sweet and provided excellent customer service. The beach and pool servers were also fantastic; they work so hard and really made a difference in our experience. A few members of the concierge team were genuinely kind and helpful, even though we didn’t attend the timeshare presentation. We stayed in Building 19, Room 19310, which was a family ocean view suite. The beds were just okay, and we didn’t initially have enough pillows or blankets, but we eventually got more after some follow-up. The AC was very cold, but at least it worked well. Our fridge was fully stocked and refilled daily, which was appreciated. The fitness center was excellent, I enjoyed my workout every morning. The food was pretty good most of the time, though I did eat something that didn’t sit well with my stomach. The drinks were great, and there was a nice variety. My main concern was with cleanliness and maintenance, especially the bug issue. We saw several cockroaches in the hallway outside our room, a few small ones inside our room, and even one in the buffet dining area. This really needs to be addressed. Additionally, the resort could benefit from better upkeep—like fresh paint and more consistent cleaning. Overall, I’d rate the resort 3.5 stars, but it has the potential to be a 5-star experience if these issues are resolved. This was also my first time booking through Costco Travel, and it was a great experience—I’ll definitely use them again in the future

We had family and friends on our trip to the Royalton Bavaro. We were in the diamond club and Eduardo was our groups Butler. We had a great time and Eduardo made sure he took great care of everything. Decorated our room for my husband's birthday,and had a cake at our group dinner. He did a great job. Loved our trip!
