I had an amazing stay! Mrs. Whitelaw is so sweet and always ready to help! The room was super clean and very nice for the price. There was a very nice complimentary breakfast as well with fruits, yogurts, various cereals, and more. She also has the sweetest dog and was so happy to see her! Also, felt totally safe as a solo female traveler and was a quick 20-30 min taxi ride to the Edinburgh airport.

Wir haben vor unserem Flug ab Edinburgh hier übernachtet. Sehr schönes Bed and Breakfast. Sauber, schönes Zimmer, gutes schottisches Frühstück, Parkplatz. Restaurants sind zu Fuss erreichbar. Sehr freundliiche Hosts. Wir würden wieder hier übernachten.

A very beautiful old property, clean bedroom and ensuite. We had a kettle, minifridge, tv, hairdryer and a closet to hang our clothes - all i could ask for. Lots of on site parking to side of property and a bus stop, shops and chippie nearby. I really liked the full breakfast, orange juice and cereal were also available on the side for those that wanted it.
Biking friendly, very very nice hosts, very hospitable and helpful. Will be staying again for next trips to area!

Very friendly and welcoming good location to town lovely breakfast choice of cereal, yoghurt fresh fruit etc. Close to Glasgow and Edinburgh if your looking for a city adventure. couldn't do enough for you we will definitely be back when visiting family for sure

Such a sweet and cozy place to stay The rooms were clean, food was great and the owners were very polite and gave you plenty of privacy. Plthey came everyday and gave fresh towels and cleaned the room when we were out. Very nice place and very nice people.

Lovely Homely B&B crisp clean linen, plush carpet underfoot, Bathroom/Bedroom were both bright airy and the whole place was spotlessly clean. Decor was fresh Breakfast was excellent. Cooked Scottish breakfast with a selection of cereals, fresh fruits, yoghurts, Juice and toast with slabs of butter. Ample off-road parking and ideally located to explore Edinburgh which is a short drive or hop on a train at Bathgate. Mary and Donald were excellent hosts. Cannot wait to visit again.

We had a fantastic 1 night stay here. Lovely clean and bright room. Mary the owner was very welcoming, interacting with our little boy making him feel comfortable. Cooked Breakfast in the morning was delicious with a selection of yoghurts, fruits and cereal. After 2 disappointing nights at the Hilton in Edinburgh this was a delight and I wish I'd booked here for the entire weekend and travelled to Edinburgh. The Gables will definitely be first on our list of places to stay next time we have a visit.

Such a wonderful stay at the Gables, great location, Mary was very welcoming from the start and looked after us. Beds lovely and comfy, we had the family room, great size, a lovely cooked breakfast each morning. Absolutely 5* definately recommend.
