Grand Mercure Batam Centre

The location of the hotel is very near Batam Center and a swing to one Batam mall and some nearby cafes. The front desk is kind enough to upgrade us to another tier of the room. And earlier check in as we have a baby. The spa a level 3 is also awesome. Kids room were good enough to keep baby occupied. Some things to improve : 1) the light system in the room. The switch are either all on or all off. Hard to control with certain parts to be lit up and some to be off. 2) Security system, request for extra keys, however they gave without checking identity 😳 abit scary I can be any Tom dick Harry. 3) not much food options beside the main ambrosia as morning buffet. In room dining menu can be updated too. 4) they are very particular with towels. Can only give 2 at anytime. If you have kids to share room with, you have to advance tell them. Overall still a new, clean and friendly staff..

Friendly and courteous staff. Room was very clean, spacious toilet with attached shower. Breakfast was satisfactory and enjoyable with various kind of foods to choose. A memorable staycation for us and would definitely repeat our staycation here next time.

Clean room and toilet. Water pressure is good. Air-conditioning is okay but at night is abit stuffy. Air-con seems to be controlled but still acceptable.. Bed is comfy and there is 2 pillows. Cons is that grabfood driver is not allowed to enter. They have to park at the guard house and walk in or we have to walk out..hope they can allow them to come in nearer to the main entrance. Will stay here again.

Service staff was excellent! Only the location is not that great. You have to jay walk to the nearest convenience store and although the nearest mall is less the. 2km away, it is not fit for walking

Check in process was a breeze. Room and breakfast spread is good. Shuttle service also helps. Strategic location. Keep up the service and will definitely come again.
