Good location close to M3/A303.
Friendly and polite reception staff.
Room was very clean with all expected amenities.
BUT, I would not stay here again as the rooms are very close together so I was plagued by noise all night, even after midnight. Doors banging, a baby crying in the room next door. These noises were probably unavoidable, but my room backed into the pub courtyard and there were people talking at the tables outside, again, this was after midnight - why?? I wouldn’t have expected any pub noise at all after 11. I was travelling for work and had an early start so this was a poor stay for me.

We booked up last minuet for a Sunday evening meal today at the Wheatsheaf . We were greeted and looked after by Lydia-Mae who is a great asset to the company. Drinks and food delivered in good time and on point. We have always been happy to dine at the Wheatsheaf and never had anything to complain about. Good portions of tasty food at reasonable prices delivered by friendly staff.

The Wheatsheaf were great hosts for a family event for 50 guests on 31/7. The food was prompt and of a very high standard and we received so many compliments from our guests about the party. I would really recommend the team for any events you are planning.

Visited for Sunday roast. One star for service, the waitresses were great, the other star for the rib of beef. Vegetables were ok, roast potatoes were inedible as well as the cauliflower cheese. Not sure what was in it, awful. Definitely won’t be back.

The Wheatsheaf offers exceptional value for money. When we booked I was a little concerned that the room rate seemed a little too good to be true, but was very pleased to be proven wrong. The in-room decor is a little dated, but the rooms are large and clean. The staff are all wonderful. Service was excellent and always given with a smile. We had dinner and breakfast in the pub and the food was to a good standard. We will no doubt be back when we are next in the area.
