Clean and simple city hotel. Nearby to tram, and have basement parking lots. Worth staying for a night to transit from Zurich Airport to Montreux to Zermatt.

Check-in took far too long for a hotel in this price range. Something definitely needs to be done about this.
The staff were very friendly, though!
The hotel room is unfortunately a bit worn these days.
Depending on the location of the room, the view is great.

Although we were generally satisfied, it would be useful to know that they asked for a deposit of 100 CHF at check-in. Although they accepted me to give the deposit in EUR, they returned it by converting it to CHF.
Transportation within the city was free with the Basel card they gave and discounts were applied for some museums.
The minibar was free and there was a coffee machine in the room. In addition, the small snacks they left on the pillows were nice.
It was nice that the toilet and bathroom were separate.
