Novotel Basel City Reviews

Great room and comfortable beds. Walking distance took us 12 minutes walk from Basel SBB train station. Nevertheless it is easily located the hotel. Novotel hotel has a good breakfast with variety choices.

We had a fantastic stay. The location was great with good transport links. Perfect base for the Christmas markets. Would definitely recommend.

Found some hairs on the bed, location is good, not far away from the train station, and near the bus/tramway station.

Bathroom is spacious and clean

The whole journey was amazing. Switzerland is the cleanest country I’ve been to and this hotel fulfills my expectations. There weren’t toothpaste in the room so I left a note asking for it and the staff left a post it note with dental amenities in our bathroom after we left. Cutest thing I’ve experienced, would highly recommend this room too!

It was great stay

Novotel was a nice place to stay for our overnight in Basel. Easy check-in and check-out so we had no problems at reception. Our train left very early the next day so they kindly prepared our breakfast to take away which included 2 sandwiches and 2 bottles of water for each person. I can't say much about the facilities since we didn't get to explore but the hotel was a convenient location to get to Basel SBB. The reception staff also helped us book a taxi which we were thankful for as fewer trams went around the city so early in the morning. We were also given a Visitor Pass to travel around the city so the trams were free and we got a discount at the museum we went to. The only downside was there wasn't a convenience store nearby or maybe there was but we didn't get to see one immediately. Thanks, Novotel!

The service was perfect and I enjoy my stay. The facilities is ok and I enjoy the food too.

Very good location.

The room is large, suitable for families with older children. Not far from the airport, the parking lot is expensive, you can park on the opposite side of the road if you drive. There is a smaller coop about 200 meters away.

The room is compact, close to the road, a bit noisy, and there are basically no disposable items, so you have to ask the front desk for them. The breakfast is business-like, just simple bread and some food and drinks, with few vegetables.

The location is OK. There is a tram stop not far from the hotel. It takes a few minutes to reach Basel SBB and the old town. It only takes ten minutes to walk to Basel SBB. The bathroom is spacious and the staff is friendly

Very good, the hotel staff is also very enthusiastic. You can print tickets and train tickets for free

I double paid for tax and parking, but the hotel was so slow in processing that I barely managed to cancel. They don't take action quickly even if it's their fault.
