Convenient location if you drive. Facilities and interior are bit outdated. Housekeeping doesn't seem to clean your room if you stay for 2 nights.

Room was dirty. Found used floss on bedspread and bugs in bathroom. Very disappointing. We were placed in a room next to the loud construction site and had lousy air conditioning unit.

The woman who checked us in was great. Friendly, helpful, etc. The maids were friendly and accomodating. The woman working the desk after was an absolute horror. Rude, angry - i greeted her with a good morning in the parking lot and she just scowled at me.

Basalt Lodge
The lodge and the area of Basalt are very nice. I was only there for 1 quick night (up early) but it had all that I had wanted and is in a great area. A little unsure about parking and where the lobby was when I first arrived but no big deal once you look around. Was very happy w/ my limited stay and was wishing I had booked more than the 1 night.

Great location but room is a little tired. No AC. No plug for sink. Pillows, mattress and desk chair could be upgraded.

The most unique about this propety is it's location on the river. The rooms are facing the river, you fall asleep to the sound of rushing waters.

The Aspenalt is right near a river, so the soothing sounds of the water are pleasant and peaceful. The property is near some nice dining options (Heather's was great for dinner!)
and the area is walkable. Very clean room and comfortable bed.
