First time visiting this lovely little place after a weeks stay in the Lake District. So glad we came across it. It was beautiful. We got there just after they opened at 12, as we had a long drive home ahead of us. The food was brought out so quickly, which was amazing. Piping hot and absolutely delicious (little bit pricier than what I'd normally pay, but you can't really complain when you have such a pretty view, the staff are so lovely and the food is top notch.) Our waiter was wonderful too. (Didn't catch his name, but he had a very cool black moustache! 😂) Really attentive, really polite and friendly. He even had a little giggle with me and my sister after he caught me questioning whether he was Irish or not on the way to the ladies toilets, unaware he was stood right behind me... which was both hilarious and humiliating. 😂 The view is beautiful and it's full of adorable little pups running around having a lovely time. Unfortunately, we didn't stay for dessert, but we definitely would have stayed a few hours extra if we'd have had the time. I didn't leave a tip when placing the order and pre-paying on the app, but if there is a way I could tip the lovely waiter who served us today now instead, I would. His service was wonderful. And I would 100% visit again. Food was delicious and delivered expeditiously, people were lovely and polite and it's such a pretty place to sit and eat at. Thankyou for making our final holiday meal so lovely!

Terrible food overpriced, bland and not worth the money in anyway. Avoid this tourist trap. Ordered a Ploughman’s sharing platter but the size and quality was abysmal at 24.99 I’d expect a lot more food and better quality. The portion size is enough to feed one but was low quality and certainly not for sharing.Avoid

Very poor overall, small room, overlooking bin alley, very noisy from early morning. Restaurant dirty, stained carpets and chair covers, dirty tables and food quality really poor.

We’ve stayed here before and loved the place Back again for a 3 day holiday & it’s just as good in my opinion Great kind staff which is imported to me as I’m a Stroke survivor with some mobility problems The little annex is a perfect place for me as it’s on one level & has a great wet room bathroom with luxury toiletries & big fluffy white towels Great breakfast with plenty of choice & great coffee Definitely would recommend

My husband and I are both 70 and we were put in a room at the top of the hotel (small window was in the roof) accessed by three flights of steep stairs. Ceilings in the room were all sloping and we had to constant be aware of this, so as not to bump our heads. Resident’s lounge was constantly cold due to a fire exit being constantly jammed open. Food was of a good standard and some of the staff were helpful and friendly

Had a great steak and ale pie (though the missus prefers thicker Gravy but i liked it). Friendly staff who recommended the pie which left me thinking 'well of course they'll recommend one of their own meals innit?' but he was bang on.....it was a good un. The establishment is right on the river which is cool.

Eat here if you’re prepared to remortgage your property ! £60 for 2 drinks (not both alcoholic), and 2 meals, I was shocked when I got to the till to pay and had to double check with the person at the till I was only paying for 2 meals… My husbands meal was hot, mine was not, I don’t send food back but for what we paid I shouldn’t have had to give it a thought, I would expect a hot, well cooked, meal. Service was good, food not. Read the reviews before you go, we will not be returning.

Service was exceptional, the staff have a bit about them! So busy at weekends especially when it’s sunny! Food was homemade and tasty.
