The hotel's swimming pool is good. It's open until nine o'clock in the evening. It's a favorite of children. You can walk to the beach in five minutes along the back door of the hotel. The sand is fine and the scenery is beautiful. The wind and waves are strong. It's not suitable for swimming. It's nice to walk along the coast.

We recently stayed at Kelly’s Beach Resort with a large family group across multiple villas, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. In one of the villas, we discovered an unclean toilet with visible faecal stains, which was appalling. To make matters worse, water from the shower was backing up through the kitchen drain—a serious health and plumbing issue that made the villa feel unsanitary and unsafe. Another unit had its own share of problems: the microwave was filthy, gecko droppings were found on the beds, and there was a used, wet towel left in the bathroom upon our arrival. These are not minor oversights but basic cleanliness standards that were clearly ignored. We we were leaving our stay we attempted to raise these concerns with the receptionist named Kylie. Kylie showed zero empathy, did not take any responsibility, and seemed completely uninterested in resolving the problems. Her attitude was unprofessional and made an already disappointing situation even worse, she showed no concern whatsoever and offered no apology, compensation, or even basic courtesy. We expected far better for the price and reputation. This experience left us extremely dissatisfied, and we would not recommend Kelly’s Beach Resort to anyone expecting clean accommodation or even the most basic level of customer service.

The resort is looking really tired and run down but it’s okay as a budget option. Cabins are sufficient but parts of it badly need upgrading. Could have been cleaner. Bizarrely the red headed front office woman had excessive trouble carrying out a basic request. Her attitude was awful and she needs some customer service training. Not a friendly or welcoming vibe.

Great place to stay for families or couples. The outdoor pool and spa were great! BBQ facilities, tennis court and bonus. Value for money accomodation. Lovely private Units set amongst palm trees.

We ended up having to switch places we were staying and I found Kellys Beach Resort. The "resort" part sounded great so I booked three nights. As others have mentioned, Kellys is more rustic than resort. That said, my wife and I enjoyed our stay. The place we stayed in was comfortable and it was easy to get around to the things we were doing in the area. We did not eat at the restaurant, but we did walk the grounds and enjoyed ourselves.

Good location, lovely garden setting, very private villas. Enjoyed our stay good value for money. Close to beaches good walking distance to Bargara. The garden setting and pond were beautifully kept and such a relaxing outlook. We made good use of the pool.

Establishment lacks maintenance and is not as pictures on Wotif show. Pavers are a trip hazard. Villa was in a need of improvements , stove rusted. Carpet lifting in bedroom- trip hazard. Bathroom door does not close properly, stove rusting. Bath recess is not waterproof, no ventilation.

Resort has lovely gardens, family facilities and pool. Although pool needs more attention on high volume days. We found it to be court & full of hair in the afternoon. Really gross. Great location for short stroll to beach. The Villas that get the westerly sun, are boiling hot, & the AC gets turned off remotely leaving a hot cabin to come back to, & takes ages to cool down. Shower over bath is deep, slippery & dangerous. Ladder up to mezzanine floor for sleeping area for children is also quite a hazard. I wouldn’t recommend for very young children, or for older, less ambulatory people due to how high the side of the bath is to step in and shower. High falls risk. Suited to younger people & teens. Would be nice to visit in Autumn or early spring if you didn’t want to swim as the cabins are awfully hot in summer, even with the small AC unit. My kids trying to get to sleep at night on the mezzanine floor difficult due to heat.
