Cebu City Hotels with Bars

My overall experience at Holiday Inn Cebu was quite disappointing, especially for a Holiday Inn brand. It fell far short of my expectations. 1. There was a feedback form in the room, but no pen. Does the hotel assume every guest carries their own writing tools? I couldn't even fill out the feedback form. 2. The policy of collecting a 1,500 PHP daily deposit is very unreasonable. Most hotels nowadays have abolished the deposit system, both out of trust in their guests and to enhance the check-in experience. I've stayed at many excellent hotels in Cebu, and this is the first time I've encountered a daily deposit. It inevitably makes one feel that the hotel lacks trust in its guests. 3. The room size and amenities are only comparable to budget hotels like Home Inn in China, which doesn't match Holiday Inn's brand positioning. 4. Breakfast service was chaotic. There was no staff to guide guests to tables. Many tables were empty, but there was no cutlery on them, making it difficult to find a place to eat. 5. When I went to the restaurant for breakfast, I proactively showed my room number to the front desk staff, and they confirmed it. However, during my meal, the front desk staff came over again to ask for my room number. Such basic service oversights seriously detract from the guest experience. 6. I went for breakfast at 9:30 AM, and the fruit section was almost empty. No staff refilled the fruit until I finished my meal and left.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The BEST hostel experience I’ve ever had! I honestly cannot recommend Yellow Umbrella Hostels in Cebu City enough. From the moment I arrived until the moment I checked out, every single part of my stay exceeded my expectations. The first thing that stood out was how spotlessly clean everything was. The rooms, bathrooms, common areas, everywhere was exceptionally well maintained. You can really tell that the staff takes great pride in keeping the hostel comfortable, organized, and welcoming. What truly makes this place special, though, is the people. Manager Glen deserves special recognition. He goes above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome, valued, and at home. His professionalism, kindness, and genuine care for guests create such a positive atmosphere that you can feel it throughout the entire hostel. And honestly, the rest of the staff were just as incredible. I would write names but truly every staff was amazing because every single person I met was outstanding. They were always smiling, approachable, eager to help, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making guests’ experiences unforgettable. That level of hospitality is rare and deserves to be celebrated. The atmosphere is warm, safe, and incredibly comforting. Whether you’re traveling solo or with friends, this hostel makes it easy to relax, meet amazing people, and truly enjoy your time in Cebu. The service was consistently exceptional, every request was handled quickly, every interaction was friendly, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. I’ve stayed in many accommodations while traveling, and Yellow Umbrella Hostels genuinely ranks among the very best. It’s not just a place to sleep, it’s a place that makes you feel at home. If you’re visiting Cebu City, do yourself a favor and stay here. You won’t regret it. Thank you to Glen and the entire team for making my trip so memorable. The hotel was very clean, and the service quality was excellent, making for a comfortable trip ✈️. Even when waiting for a taxi outside the hotel, the staff waited with us and chatted with us with a smile. As it was my first international trip, it created wonderful memories! The morning buffet was also a lot of fun, and everything was delicious!

We stayed for 6 hours before our flight in a triple room in the building opposite the one with the pool. The room was indeed small, but clean, modern, and well-designed. It had a desk with a chair if you needed to use a laptop, and lockers to store your belongings. Clean white bedding, towels, comfortable new mattresses and pillows, a large window, a bottle of water per person, shampoo, soap, and toothbrushes were provided. The urban design didn't bother us at all – in fact, it was a pleasant change after traveling through rural areas. The reception desk works very efficiently, there's a cafe downstairs, and a restaurant on the rooftop, along with a small pool and a nice area to sit in the evening with city views. The location is convenient, with a 7/11, places to eat, and drink all just a stone's throw away. There's also security. It's 3 km to Ayala Center (about 100 pesos by Grab). Overall, a very good impression. An excellent option for 1-2 nights.

First time staying at this hotel. The staff were very helpful in resolving any issues we had. The hotel has a swimming pool, gym, and spa. Overall, the facilities are excellent. There are many options for breakfast, so you can choose freely. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Good location, there are food options nearby within walking distance. Reasonable breakfast and room size is comfortably decent!

Stayed before awhile ago reception staff good fast check in room spacious with Bench table And chairs to eat and drink Bed Big firm good to sleep TV No channels only Netflix and YouTube airconditioning very weak didnt get the room very cold tea and coffee making facilities And also a refrigerator which was good safe Not working. Bathroom small and musty main shower unit leaked And sprayed water All over just ended up using the hand held shower complementary Soap shampoo and tooth brush Not really very hot water the hotel is showing signs of ageing especially in the bathroom the breakfast was good and tasty but took a long time to receive it due to high room service orders staff very friendly and polite okay for a couple of nights room rate was good.

The staff were very kind, helping with luggage and showing me where to refill my water bottle. As for the bathroom, there's no shower curtain, but the water pressure isn't strong enough for water to splash everywhere. It was a bit of a shame to see some small rust spots, though.

Good experience. The beds little bit make noise because old but clean and also possibility to have buffet breakfast. Staff very helpful and kind . Recomanded

This is my first time booking this hotel and I thought I will never have a chance to stay here. Before my wedding, I booked this hotel since it’s near the church location. We enjoyed the stay. It’s just that we did not get to enjoy the TV because YouTube or other apps won’t work. All throughout the stay we weren’t able to use the TV. Also I called the lobby 5x to ask for a replacement for the 2 mugs for coffee before someone actually gets there to replace it AT THE MORNING. Haven’t also had the time to enjoy pool because we check in late. But their service is good. The hotel is nice. I will surely book again if their TV is already fixed lol. Also two key cards for room and elevator is really hassle on our part. It should’ve been 1 key card, all access, 2pcs since we’re 2 adults. I really appreciate the hotel staff for catering my entourage, we were able to prepare before my wedding and took some pictures at the lobby and pool. Thank you!
