Santorini Hotels with Bars

We’ve just returned from a truly perfect 9-night stay at Katikies Santorini and already wish we were back. From start to finish, everything was faultless. Sofia and the entire team were absolutely brilliant – genuinely warm, attentive without ever being overbearing, and always going the extra mile to make our stay special. The hotel itself is immaculate, beautifully kept, and the views are simply incredible – one of those places that really does live up to the photos (if not exceed them). Waking up to that caldera view each morning never got old. Breakfast was absolutely amazing - one the best! We also found that most guests tend to stay just a night or two and move on quite quickly. Having spent nine nights here, I’d honestly recommend staying at least a week, if not longer, to properly take it all in. It’s one of those places that isn’t meant to be rushed – the pace, the views, the atmosphere all deserve a bit more time. Being among the few guests staying longer really allowed us to appreciate it fully, and it made the whole experience feel that much more special. It’s rare to find somewhere that gets every detail right, but Katikies really does. We felt completely looked after throughout and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. A very special place – we’ll definitely be returning.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, exceeding all my expectations. The room was incredibly spacious, featuring two bathrooms and showers. It also had a private balcony with stunning views and sun loungers. The breakfast spread was delicious, and enjoying it while overlooking the Aegean Sea was an unbeatable experience. The swimming pool had a comfortable temperature. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly. We stayed for three nights and also visited Oia, but we still felt this hotel offered a quieter location with equally breathtaking views. We took a taxi to and from the airport, costing 35 euros each way. We traveled during the off-season, but the scenery was still spectacular, and the temperature was perfect. Highly recommended!

Kima is an exceptionally warm, homey, and welcoming place to stay in Santorini. It is located in a beautiful area of Oia that is both convenient and peaceful. When we arrived near the suite from the airport, Aris, a very friendly gentleman, was already waiting to greet us after we dropped off the car and kindly helped carry our heavy luggage down the stairs to the suite. The reception staff member, Xeno, was incredibly friendly and provided detailed information about the suite, along with a helpful introduction to the map for exploring Oia. The suite was very clean and decorated in a cozy, homely Greek style. The sofa area, bedroom, and bathroom were all thoughtfully arranged and convenient to use. Aris also served us breakfast right outside our suite, allowing us to enjoy our meal by the pool in the sunshine with soft music, which was a lovely experience. Both the pool view and the classic Oia scenery, during the day and at night, were absolutely stunning from the suite. The housekeeping service was attentive and friendly, making our stay even more comfortable. Xeno was also very helpful in arranging different services for exploring Santorini whenever we needed. He helped us book a comfortable private car to the airport when we left, and Aris was once again there to assist us with our luggage. Overall, we had a truly wonderful stay at Kima, creating lovely memories of Santorini. I would strongly recommend Kima to travelers looking for a comfortable and relaxing holiday!

The hotel didn't provide me with my original room as scheduled, offering me a cheaper room instead. I only discovered this myself, after which the hotel informed me that some equipment in my original room was damaged and arranged a refund for the difference, which was acceptable. I was assigned a rather small room, but the space was still sufficient. However, in the attic room, I had to bend over to enter and exit the bathroom (I'm 153cm tall). The biggest problem with the room was the weak water pressure in the shower, and it took several minutes for the water to warm up enough for showering. I don't know if this is the case in all hotels in Fira. The room was fairly clean, but there were a few ants (3-5 in the bathroom and 8-10 on the floor below during my two days there). I don't know where they came from. Hotel location: Vehicles couldn't reach the hotel entrance. It's about a 5-8 minute walk to the nearest drop-off point, not far, but there are many uneven stairs or cobblestone paths, so if you have luggage, I suggest reducing your luggage. I believe most scenic hotels in this area are similar. The hotel includes breakfast, which is quite substantial and good.

I took a taxi from the airport, but I couldn't go directly to the front of the hotel by car and took a suitcase. It is also close to the main street, so it is a very good place for sightseeing in Fira. The view from the hotel is also very good. The number of breakfast items is small, but there were also a la carte * menu. On the way back, I arranged a taxi from the hotel, but it was very helpful to carry my luggage from the hotel to the taxi. Overall, I think it was very good in terms of the ease of sightseeing in the scenery in Fira.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful, peaceful and relaxing stay This hotel is incredible — spotless, beautifully maintained, full of space, and has such a lovely atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, the welcome drink was a wonderful gesture and gave us a very warm and friendly welcome. The hotel grounds are spacious and beautifully kept, with large swimming pools, restaurants with lovely views, a separate children’s play area, and plenty of space to relax. Everything around the hotel felt neat, clean, fresh and peaceful. The rooms themselves were comfortable, but for us, the best thing about the hotel was the peace, quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Although the hotel is slightly outside the main town centre, this is actually a big advantage. Fira town is only around a 12-minute walk away, with beautiful sea views along the way. You get the convenience of being close to the town while still having a peaceful and spacious place to stay. The reception team were wonderful. Christin and all the other team members were lovely, friendly and extremely helpful. I would also especially like to thank the lady manager. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask her name, but she deserves special recognition. She was always around the hotel, checking on guests, smiling, and ready to help whenever needed. Her friendly presence really made a difference to our stay, and I believe she deserves a lot of credit. A very special thank you also goes to the chefs and the entire restaurant team. We were travelling with our young baby, who has specific food requirements, and the chef kindly prepared her meals according to our instructions. They were always happy to prepare the food for us whenever we needed it, from early morning until late at night. This level of care and flexibility meant a lot to our family, and we are extremely grateful. The breakfast was also excellent — fresh, healthy, tasty and with a good variety of choices. One area that I feel the hotel should seriously look into Unfortunately, our experience with the taxi driver arranged through the hotel was very disappointing. We booked a hotel taxi three times — from the airport to the hotel, from the hotel back to the airport, and from the hotel to Oia — and on all three occasions the same driver came. Sadly, he was not friendly or welcoming and, in our experience, his behaviour came across as quite rude. This was particularly disappointing because the taxi service was arranged through a 5-star hotel, and the driver is therefore part of the overall guest experience and, in some ways, represents the hotel's reputation. A warm, polite and friendly taxi driver should be the continuation of the welcome guests receive from the hotel. Unfortunately, this driver's attitude really affected our mood on those occasions. I genuinely hope the hotel can look into this and provide appropriate customer-service training, because I would not want other guests to have the same experience. Apart from the taxi experience, everything about our stay was wonderful. The hotel itself, the staff, the food, the cleanliness, the atmosphere and the peaceful location were all excellent. A big thank you to the entire hotel team for making our stay so comfortable and memorable. We truly appreciate all the care and kindness we received, especially towards our baby. We would happily recommend this hotel and would love to return again in the future. ❤️

Providing swift assistance to our oversight in duplicate booking, and proactively contacting the travel agent so we could cancel the duplicate booking and receive refunds within the same day 2. Is very knowledgeable about the island; she has provided personalised itinerary recommendations based on our preference; she has made very thoughtful arrangements regarding transport and restaurants, including recommending a trip to the Santos Wine Winery which offered us the best sunset views of the island we have ever seen. 3. Is extremely friendly, always greets guests with a big smile, and she has made our stay a superbly wonderful and pleasant experience. In addition to the warm hospitality, the property is a lovely place to stay; the pool has a beautiful view and the breakfast is wonderful to the eyes and our stomach. Thank you Ms. Margarita and I’d highly recommend visitors to stay at the Callia Retreat Suites next time they visit Santorini.

The biggest advantage of this hotel is that it is in a good location, very close to the Ferra station, and there is a big supermarket opposite, the price is cheap, you can replenish mineral water and snacks at any time. Others are more ordinary. The room at the time of check-in is very noisy near the road. I immediately changed the room away from the main road. The window is opposite another hotel. Sometimes there will be construction sounds in the morning. The most incredible thing about the hotel is the bathroom. There is no place to put toilet paper and bath liquid. The toilet paper is placed on the sink outside the door and the toilet can be opened. The hygiene will be cleaned every day. We stayed for four days. The breakfast is quite rich and will change the pattern every day. Standing by the pool, you can see the sea. The price is still affordable in the holy island. Service needs to be more proactive and enthusiastic.

True to its five-star rating, the service here is excellent. The room is also very spacious, featuring two bathrooms and a temperature-controlled bathtub. From the balcony, you can enjoy distant sea views, and at night, you can relax in the tub while admiring the night cityscape.

Because the hotel is located on a slope, you'll mostly be using the stairs inside. Staff will carry your luggage if you ask. The view is fantastic.
