"The hotel service staff took the initiative to greet with a smile, the room space was sufficient, the design was simple, the equipment was new with fork power interface and large TV, the bathroom was spacious and clean; the location was close to the airport, the hotel was attached to the subway station for about7-8 minutes walk, and about30-40 minutes to the city center. Good choice for a short stay. Overall satisfaction!"

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is excellent — very convenient and easy to access all the main attractions in Madrid. The reception staff were helpful and friendly, making us feel welcome right from the start.
Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. What impressed us most was the thoughtful touch of a light breakfast (muffins and buns) provided every morning — such a sweet gesture! On top of that, the lobby has a station offering complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, juice, cookies, and fruits. It was lovely to relax there and enjoy some snacks after a long day of sightseeing.
Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back again on our next trip to Madrid."

FFROLENCE DEUSI had a wonderful stay at The Hat Madrid! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, the service was excellent, and the hostel was very clean. The location is unbeatable for the price—right in the heart of the city. I also loved the activities they organized, which made it easy to meet people and enjoy the atmosphere. Highly recommend. Would definitely stay again.

AancoheBeautiful hotel, warm and considerate service staff, delicious breakfast, great location, within walking distance to the Royal Palace of Madrid, Puerta del Sol, and even Retiro Park. The car rental company has a store in the underground garage of Plaza de España. You can pick up the car there. It's only a 500-meter walk, everything is perfect, and it's worth coming back. That day I went to the rooftop swimming pool and unexpectedly met a handsome foreigner waiter who spoke Mandarin better than me😄. There was also a Chinese girl in the restaurant who was enthusiastic and capable; if the price is acceptable, there is nothing to worry about.

The breakfast spread was extensive, with options catering to Chinese palates, including local fried dough sticks (youtiao) and dumplings, all of which tasted great. There was also a wide selection of fresh fruit. The only minor downside was the typical European hotel amenity setup – no complimentary toothbrushes, toothpaste, or slippers provided in the room. The location is also excellent, right next to Retiro Park and the Prado Museum.

VVinci7788Excellent stay, just as expected from this brand. I upgraded to a higher floor and bigger room for a small fee and really enjoyed the room; spacious, stylish, spotless, and with very comfortable bedding and pillows. The in-room entertainment was great, with a soundbar for Chromecast/YouTube, plus the option to request a turntable or guitar at no extra cost, which was a fun touch.
I didn’t use the pool, bar, or restaurant since I preferred exploring the many great dining options within a 5–10 minute walk. The hotel’s location is good: very walkable to Atocha Station (my main reason for choosing it) and close to the city’s three major museums. For getting into town, buses are generally more convenient as the nearest metro is Line 1; for Line 3 (Lavapiés) it’s a short walk, but the route is lively with plenty of restaurants and bars along the way.

I like the food which is available there in the drinks that are freshly made and served. The hotel rooms are very clean and it is all well maintained. AAnonymous UserThe hotel was pretty good; they even gave us a free room upgrade! It was the biggest bed we've slept in during our entire trip in Spain!!! However, the shelf in the bathroom felt like it was going to fall during a shower, it wasn't very stable!!! The most important thing was, when we were about to check out, we found a super, unbelievably huge cockroach right at the door!!!!!!!!!!!! That was terrifying!!!!!!!!!! But honestly, it was really good otherwise, they provided 2 bottles of water, and all the amenities like an iron were available!

While the city and its infrastructure may feel a bit outdated compared to other global hubs, the Hotel Madrid Chamartín Affiliated by Meliá was a decent and comfortable place to stay.
The hotel’s location is its strongest feature—it’s directly across from Chamartín Train Station and its adjacent subway station. While the train station and subway facilities are not the most modern or impressive, the convenience of being so close to transportation hubs is a definite plus. The street leading to the hotel is a bit unusual, set on a slope, but it’s manageable.
The room was clean and functional, though slightly dated. The beds were comfortable, albeit with older spring mattresses that could use an upgrade. Despite the slightly worn feel, the room provided a comfortable space to rest after a day of exploring or work.
The standout feature of this hotel was undoubtedly the breakfast. It was absolutely amazing, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options that catered to different tastes. It was easily the highlight of my stay and set a great tone for the day.
The service was also pleasant and friendly, which is a nice touch, especially given the sometimes lackluster service standards in Spain. The staff were helpful and made the stay more enjoyable.
Overall, while the Hotel Madrid Chamartín Affiliated by Meliá may not be the most modern or luxurious option, it offers good value for its location, a comfortable stay, and an exceptional breakfast. If you’re looking for a convenient and reliable place to stay near Chamartín Station, this hotel is a solid choice.

The staff are friendly
I like the public area on the ground floor, if there could be more charging place would be nice.
However, only 2 bathroom for 12 people is not enough. One of the bathroom only have cold water and the sink is outside the toilet.
I think it is a fair option for such a price in the city, still there is an improvement.
If you are a solo traveller that need a short stay, it is an acceptable choice.
