"I went there it’s little expectations. But it turned out to be a most memorable trip . All because of the hotel staff Juna, such a cutie. And since she is local she had all the knowledge about this serene village. From the moment we arrived we were taken care of well and she brought us to the near by sightseeing places it was a pleasant waking tour. Breakfast was basic but tasty . The dinner place she recommended us was amazing. Overall it was great staying here although the smell n cleanliness of room could be improved. But the view from dining was just amazing"

"After a long journey up into the mountains we arrived at Bandipur and absolutely loved it. The Old Inn itself was very unusual and almost like a Medieval English home. Bandipur itself was fascinating, with some decent walks around the village which enabled us to see how the locals lived. Food was excellent."

"Interestingly there are two Good Hotels , Two Old Hotels etc in Bandipur I’m guessing the owners opened one then another later. The one I stayed in isn’t the one in the picture it’s the other one but owned by the same people. My run was run by teenagers but despite that was fine. Not the cleanest but the room was decent facing the back is best as it quieter and the views are great. Foods ok like most places in the village. The bed was remarkably comfortable. Value I would say was excellent. Only issue would say as it’s solar heated the showers are cold when there’s no sun and the weather was awful when I was there. It’s in a pedestrian zone so you or whoever will need to carry your bag a long way. Overall good value for money"

"Incredible location facing the hills and forested valley, on a clear day you would be able to see the Mountains. Staff are friendly, service was excellent. Rooms have an electric blanket as it can get quite cold and are of a good size. I extend my sincere gratitude to the Manager Suraj and his team for making my stay enjoyable"

"Last week, 16 th of April 2025 we have visited Historic Newari village of Bandipur, Nepal, We were searching the peaceful , neat and clean hotel near the Tudikhel area of Bandipur because of huge public ground to walk in the morning with fresh air of holy Tree called 'Pipal' So we have been there and saw some good hotels but we found the Durbar Himalaya with a traditional architectural style exterior and interior and courtesy receptionist , we decided to stay there. New building, spacious room, bathroom and private balcony as well. Very simple and traditionally decorated impressive restaurant attached with lobby served very tasty and hygienic breakfast. We found the friendly and service orientated staff as well as special thanks to Mr Bais Gurung, Managing Director of this beautiful hotel for his kind attention."

"They're one of the few places that can be found online and compared to the very expensive high-end hotels listed their prices seemed reasonable. Then I saw my room- I was shown into a downstairs room that had nothing but 2 cots and a lightbulb. there was a small window covered with thick aluminum bars that could only be looked through by getting on my knees on one of the cots. The bathroom was down a long hallway outside. Bandipur is one of the loveliest settings I have ever experienced, with stunning views from almost every hotel and restaurant. Just a ways into the bazar, is Newa Hotel where I found a room comparable in size and basics, only it had 2 wooden doors that opened on to a gorgeous view. And it was less than half the price of Samira. I ended up at Sanskaar Hotel with a lovely room with stone floors, a huge picture window on one side of the room, and double wooden doors that opened onto my own balcony overlooking the stunning valley. Just outside my door was my own private, modern bathroom And this cost me less than the horrid room at Samira's. Samira's upstairs rooms open onto a balcony and are probably not a bad choice. But there's absolutely no reason to pay a huge price for a crummy room in a town where you can do so much better for less money"

"Wouldn’t recommend it at all. My first impression of the hotel room was ruined by large blackish stains on the wall, probably caused by rainwater seeping through. Another big problem was that there were hairs from other guests on the pillows, which indicates that the room was inadequately cleaned, if at all. We asked for clean pillows, but they gave us the same ones with the hairs removed. The blanket sheets were wet and cold. When we asked the hotel staff about this, we were told they were wet because they were unable to air-dry them. We asked for dry ones, but they said they had none available. On top of that, the package included bed and breakfast, but when we woke up at around 7 a.m., there were no hotel staff present at all. We decided to check out early due to the condition of the room and also wanted to take a walk around the town, but the doors were locked. So not only was breakfast not being prepared, but none of the hotel staff were awake. Overall, very poor service toward guests and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone reading this."

"We stayed here for one night and had a pleasant experience. The location is perfect, nestled inside the village in a calm and peaceful setting, away from the busier hotel areas. The room and washroom were clean and comfortable, and we didn't face any issues during our stay. It seemed that some of the rooms are not used regularly, but ours was well maintained. We had breakfast at the property and the food was fresh, tasty, served in a sufficient quantity. The staff were cordial, attentive and always ready to help, making our stay even more comfortable."
