The Ivy Hotel

I booked an overnight reservation for my husband's birthday celebration. The entire experience was unique and simply outstanding in every way! We were made to feel VERY SPECIAL by each and every staff member with whom we engaged. We were CONTINUALLY welcomed throughout the stay from the person who opened the car door and greeted us by name to the very knowledgeable concierges, the room service staff, the culinary staff, the bellman, the driver, Lottie Dottie and EVERYBODY! The hotel was very clean and beautifully adorned with pictures, books, furniture, plants and artifacts that told the story of the hotel. This includes the very accommodating bedroom with a comfortable canopy bed and a pristine, spacious and updated bathroom. One could ALWAYS count on soul-stirring music playing in the background of every public space. Each tune moved us to murmur the lyrics regardless of where we were and what we were doing. Ever had a snack attack? No worries! The room was well stocked with a variety of goodies and beverages to soothe those evening urges. And, finally, let me praise the food selections offered to us at teatime and breakfast. Homemade jam, almond butter, muffins, oat flapjacks, chicken sausage, eggs, and more! This was quite an awesome getaway! And, yes, we would do it all over again!

We have traveled extensively and without a doubt the IVY is first class- the entire staff understand customer service and meeting expectations-food equally outstanding This was our 9th visit - we make a point to visit twice a year and are already planning our next trip. Rated #1 for a reason

We always love staying at the Ivy. It is a home away from home (if your home is a historic, art-filled mansion with every convenience, not to mention delicious food). The entire staff is friendly and welcoming, and we always look forward to seeing them again and catching up. Special shout-outs to James and Anthony, who embody grace and hospitality.

The experience was wonderful. The staff was kind, and attentive. The environment was clean, uniquely curated, and peaceful. It was everything I hoped my staycation could be. I’d definitely recommend 10/10

From the time we arrived until our departure, this was an exquisite experience. All staff knew us by name although this was the first time at this location. The hotel itself, a former mansion, was absolutely gorgeous. The room was terrific with the most comfortable bed. The added bonus is that the hotel is Black owned. My wife want to especially thank Calvin for making our stay a most memorable event. We plan to return.

Would give them ten stars if I could. The hospitality of the staff was unparalleled, the food at Magdalena for dinner and breakfast was fantastic, and the room was welcoming and relaxing. The Ivy is a perfect spot for anniversaries and other special occasions. Will definitely return.
