After an October of trips staying at chain hotels, I wanted to do something different and treat my boyfriend to his first B&B stay while we attended our friends’ wedding. I had worked at a historic inn in Lenox MA during highschool and have made it a point to try B&Bs during my travels since. This has been one of my favorites! The rooms at the 1840s Carrollton are beautiful and our bed was very comfortable. For a city, there was relatively little noise in the night - even on Halloween! The breakfast, which we had delivered to our room, was delicious - I had fluffy pancakes and the most perfectly crisp home fried potatoes. There is on site parking, which was a relief after our 6 hour drive to Maryland, and the inn was a refreshing 10 minute walk from the piers (we went to the aquarium). I hope to return if we find ourselves in Baltimore again.

The room was quiet, clean and well furnished. The bathroom was also clean and enormous! We didn't use the Jacuzi but it was huge! Breakfast was top notch, the staff is friendly and personable. The room is furnished such that you feel like you just went back in time 100+ years yet had WiFi, a big screen and cable. It was an overall great experience! Little Italy is a short walk away, Fells Point and Inner Harbor are walkable, but Uber showed up in a few minutes every time and was less than $10 around the area. The Reginald F. Lewis museum of Maryland African American History and Culture is one block away and was a pleasant surprise. You can expect LOTS of Maryland history and culture detailing the struggles and successes of African Americans in and around Baltimore. Mr. Lewis was a VERY impressive man!

Cannot give this place enough stars! What a total gem. The service was impeccable, the food was fantastic, the rooms were clean, and the location was perfect. Walkable to Fells Point, Little Italy and the Inner Harbor. We will always stay here when we are in or close to Baltimore. The atmosphere was historical, but the facilities and rooms were clean as can be. The beds were comfortable and the price for experience is not to be matched. Cannot wait to be back in Baltimore. If you factor in the daily room service and chocolate chip cookies, you cannot beat the price. We stayed in the Senator room, which faced a well-travelled road, but with the windows closed the street noise was barely audible. If you are on the fence, trust me, book the room!!!!

Watch out they charge your card without permission. Bunch of thieves. Thankfully my bank took care of it. Watch out for the roaches also.

I have had a great stay in the 1840s Carrollton Inn. In the afternoon or evening I could relax in the courtyard. Rooms are so lovely, I felt as in another time. Breakfast was very good and staff was super friendly and always helpful. Thank you for three wonderful weeks. Cornelia (Germany)

Decadent place - artwork/decor, linens, snacks and fantastic breakfast. Next to Little Italy, free parking. 3 steps in to hotel but has elevator. Will definitely return!

I could not have had a more lovely time at this inn. Everyone who works there is lovely, the room we stayed in (bridal suite 101!) was lush, spacious and incredibly comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious. The location is great. parking is free and easy and we were able to walk to Little Italy, Fell's point and the harbor quickly.

The room was very well appointed. The bathroom had all marble tile. our room had a fireplace that was greatly appreciated in the cold weather Baltimore was experiencing during our stay. The front desk personnel were great to work with. The breakfasts were outstanding!! Thanks for a lovely stay!
