Courtyard Baltimore Downtown/Inner Harbor

The hotel is located in the East Habour, which is relatively safer than other regions. This hotel, however, is old and lacks of management. At 2am, all residents were awakened by a false alarm, which caused us to evacuate by stairs. When we arrived at the lobby, only one staff was there and he made no instruction nor apology to any of us. Since the entire hotel was running out of electricity, we had to walk stairs for 10 floor back to our room. This was horrible.

This hotel is in a great location. It is 1 block to the harbor walk at Inner Harbor. Lovely walk. Then the other direction it is 1 block to Little Italy. Cute area. The hotel was easy to check into. Everyone was very friendly. Rooms were nice. I would stay again.

We stayed here for two nights while attending a wedding nearby. Prices were high considering it was a Courtyard with spartan amenities. But I assume that was because it was Baltimore, and there were other events like Preakness happening at the same time. Breakfast was available to buy in the lobby, but selection was limited. They had water in the lobby, but surprisingly no coffee (which we have found in all of the Marriotts that we have stayed at). What was visibly noticeable everywhere was the cleanliness, and the welcoming and courteous Staff at every level. Our room on the 14th floor was just ok, with two Queen beds, flat-screen TV, a dresser, a desk, small refrigerator and one chair by the window. Bathroom had nice products in the shower area. The Hotel was conveniently located, and walking distance from the Inner Harbor, National Aquarium, Water Taxi Stop, the relocated Lighthouse, Historic Ships, several Restaurants, and even the Ballpark. We felt safe walking everywhere – even at night. The several buses that were provided for the wedding guests to go to the venues were a godsend, and we were immensely grateful for that convenience.

Wasn’t expecting this from a reputable chain of hotel. I would have appreciated our stay because location is good, breakfast is ok and they accommodated us to check in early.I have yet to check if they charged me extra for that.My husband was the one who checked in at the front desk as I needed to go to restroom. I woke up with significant amount of bed bug bites at the back of my arm.
