We booked a nights stay in one of the cottages to celebrate a big birthday with a friend. Money is tight so this was an expensive but worth while one off treat to celebrate. Unfortunately the galgorm did not live up to expectations considering the price paid for the experience. The spa area was completely over packed every hot tub / pool area over the whole spa was full with some having queues of people waiting for a space. We wernt expecting the spa to be empty by any means but considering the price we paid we shouldn’t have been in competition with other guests for a small space in a hot tub. We then went to element to get a coffee. My friend has multiple allergies and we went up to counter to order and were told someone would come to the table to take our order. We waited about 15 minutes at our table and no one came so went back to the counter again and were told the same someone would be out to take our order again we waited at our table 15-20 minutes until we caught the attention of a member of staff who was clearly rushed off their feet told us “ please use the QR code” explained we wanted to order coffees which were not on QR code and needed allergy advice our order was finally taken after this. Dinner and breakfast were both very good. Staff were fantastic in catering for allergies ! We were very greatful for that ! However breakfast was complete chaos there was a queue of people the whole way up the stairs and another queue at the other entrance staff run of their feet ! We got up early to use the spa facilities shortly after spa opening time as we thought it would be less busy but unfortunately it was still very busy with limited spaces in pools and hot tubs even early in the day. In summary the cottage itself was clean and comfortable. And the staff were fantastic in gillies restaurant especially with allergies. But the main attraction the spa area was a real let down. It was completely over sold between hotel and day spa guests which took it from what should be a Luxury relaxing experience to a bang average one. It’s clear the galgorm prefer a quantity over quality approach and didn’t give the luxury experience we paid for /were expecting.

Absolutely amazing stay as always. I have now had the pleasure of experiencing all the seasons in the Galgorm and even though the sun was shining this time, I think i like the winter months better as not so busy. Everything was outstanding and I always leave looking forward to my return. My tip would be to get up early in the morning as you will have the place to yourself for a little while anyway 🙂

We had our wedding reception in the Renaissance Suite at Galgorm Resort on Thursday 10th July and it was genuinely the best day ever! From the moment we met Donna our wedding co-ordinator we knew we were in good hands. Everything from the food and drink, to the helpfulness of the staff, to organising accommodation was just next level. We are absolutely thrilled to have chosen the Galgorm as our wedding venue. You couldn’t beat it! Photos by Iain Irwin

Kids minded, work booked off, a rare overnight "luxury break" Pop into the spa before room is ready (check in 3pm. check out 11am :-/) approach your little luxury hideaway AT 4:30pm with excitement and wowww! absolutely bulldozed over by the welcome party! Wet dressing gowns for 30mins, Pause moving into the hut as we want to move (we're the only hut subject to this). Phone reception. phone doesn't work. Eventually the duty manager phones back. good detailed explanation on the need for maintenance. says there's no other huts available (we're the only one to put up with this) not true. Seen 4-5 being used Max . offered later check out by 1 hour. wow!. no bottle of wine, even a packet of nuts compensation. Digger goes away but returns early next morning. Enjoy extra hour late check out watching the digger at work. Bliss Also, The huts are looking very tired. paint peeling off everything . the dirty looking table outside covered in moss. Maybe that's the look? Keep in mind. A mini bulldozer squeezed between all the shrubs instead of just raking some bark over 10m 2 area. Nobody interested. They don't care. All bluster. how much would it have taken to drop a bottle of wine over with an apology instead of getting gardening lesson from the duty manager who just didn't think this was a big deal for us.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights for our wedding anniversary. We would highly recommend this place for couples or groups of friends who want a spa experience. There is something here for everyone. Having spent most of our spa time in the outside sections of the spa we found quiet places to relax and more lively spots where people communed and had a chat. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Staff are extremely professional but also personable and welcoming which enhances the experience. The food is excellent and the live music in the evenings is a lovely touch. We had a pretty perfect couple of days.

We visit Galgorm 2-3 times a year and have stayed in their different accommodation options. We chose cottage on this occasion which was one of the newer ones and was beautiful. However, most certainly for the price you would expect a friendly welcoming face at reception. At both check in and check out we were barely greeted by a lady with dark hair who told us the minimum amount of info required for our stay, no welcome or smile even. This is the first and last impression any guest has of the hotel so although I loved the cottage this kind of reception manner wasn't appreciated. On check the lady with dark hair didnt even ask us how our stay was she abruptly asked us for towels which we were never told we needed to return, and then told us it was £25 each for no returned towel. I wasn't happy about this and we were never told us on check in, therefore we didn't have to pay. But honestly, when I've stayed in the hotel rooms I remember friendly welcoming staff however with interactions mentioned above to come home wondering how it can cost so much, and completely lack basic customer service.

As a repeeat customer, Galgorm never disappoints and this stay was no exception. From check-in to check-out everything was perfect. My friend took unwell following a private hot tub experience and a staff member came to her aid and was extremely professional. Accommodation was first class with free mini bar, snacks and water bottles. There are plenty of water stations throughout the thermal village to fill your bottle. We had breakfast and dinner in Gillies and it was excellent and also ate in Elements which was also lovely. Looking forward to returning soon .
