Reflections Ballina - Holiday Park

"A great little park, conveniently located within walking distance to woolworths, cafes and restaurants. Dog beach and swimming across the road and lovely staff and maintenance guys who take pride in the park and amenities. The only negative is the site sizes... you literally can't swing a cat and our van is only 18ft! We were in the middle of two other vans towed by dual cab utes and we couldn't all park at the front of our sites. We had to nose our car in partly under the awning if we wanted to park on our site. If one of the 3 wanted to go somewhere in the car, it was a constant shuffle moving cars about. It was honestly the only negative, but annoying enough that we'd likely book one of the other parks if coming back to Ballina. It feels terrible leaving this review as everything else was fantastic, but if you're towing a big van or have a big tow vehicle, its important for an honest review. A re-zone of sites to give a little extra wiggle room would see us happily return."

Reflections Shaws Bay - Holiday Park

"What a wonderful location with lovely views, and easy access to walking, swimming or bicycling. The pub is right next door too, with family-friendly and dog-friendly dining, and there is a pizza/fish and chip shop and a coffee shop close by. The park is dog-friendly too. Facilities are kept very clean, even though they are older. And the grounds are well cared for. The pedestrian gate codes are tricky to use and the handles don't all work the same way so be careful not to lock yourself out at night and have to walk all the way around to the front boom gate. (Practise opening them in the daylight.) We have stayed several times in our motorhome on the waterview and waterfront sites and would certainly stay again."

"Absolutely the last resort for accommodation Rooms are “bleach clean” sheets clean, bathroom tiny, outlook is to a car park, no microwave, jug was not useable due to foreign matter inside it, pillows were wafer thin. The whole place has seen much better days. The Pub served decent food at a great price, staff were pleasant but would never stay in the room again"

Riversleigh House

"The hotel has only 5 rooms and we were located on the first floor in room one. The room had use of a small private balcony which had screen doors so combined with the screened window in the bathroom we had an excellent coastal breeze through the room for the entire stay. The hotel itself has all the features of a period home but with modern conveniences. The room was very clean with good quality linen and was value for money. Although near the main street and within 5 minutes walk to the river, pool and excellent restaurants and bars on the riverside it was very quiet and parking outside the main gate. We were able to use the kitchen where coffee, tea and cereals were available freely. The large downstairs lounge /dining room was an excellent retreat as my husband was unwell and needed to sleep."
