Popped in for an evening meal. We ate in the bar area and it was lovely and cozy. Very welcoming people. We had really nice food. Steak Pie was delicious.

We have stayed here twice now and can't wait for our next visit. This hotel really is a wee gem. Fiona and all her team are absolutely lovely. Really friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and cozy. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious.

Great hotel in Ballater. Very clean room, nice outlook, good amenities & spotless bathroom. Good choice at breakfast & a great bar/restaurant for dinner (though best to book as it gets busy).

I had a very comfy stay here. It’s centrally located with easy on street parking. Hotel staff are very friendly and the food (I had an evening meal and breakfast here) was lovely - good quality and fair prices. The en-suite bedroom had what I needed. I would definitely stay here again.

An excellent overnight stay, good quality food reasonably priced, the room clean and comfortable, with a great choice of tv channels which included Amazon prime, breakfast, excellent choices, and the staff friendly, would recommend if visiting the area, you won’t be disappointed.

Lovely hotel for a meal. Went for evening meal with friends. Greeted & served promptly by friendly efficient staff. Food was really good - some things we enjoyed were - lentil soup, broccoli soup - both good sized quantities, perfect consistency & nice & hot; beefsteak pie - amazing … & chicken olives stuffed with oatmeal & delicious sauce! All at a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend this place!

One of the friendliest small hotels I have ever stayed in! The whole place was spotlessly clean and tidy, all meals (breakfast and evening bar meals) were excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. The location is excellent for exploring the beautiful countryside around, with plentiful opportunities for great walks and cycle rides.

Lovely couple of nights staying at Alexandra Hotel in Ballater. Cannot fault anything. The room was comfortable and very clean. Alan, Fiona and Fergie were very pleasant and very attentive. Like others we spoke to at the hotel, we will go back.

Very nice restaurant and bar, good food at reasonable prices and the staff were pleasant. I especially liked the fact that they do not allow pets while food is being served and this includes the bar at lunchtime. The bar looked like it ha been recently redecorated and was very clean.
