This villa was a complete disappointment. We booked it hoping for a quiet and peaceful stay outside of Ubud, but it was the opposite. The place was dirty, sheets and towels were never changed unless you asked, and half the time the pool looked like a green swamp. Breakfast was awful, the dishes were dirty, and the whole place smelled unpleasant. Despite the location being away from the center, it was extremely noisy. There were parties with loud shouting, constant traffic of people, geese and ducks being paraded right in front of the windows, and insects screeching all night. When we complained, reception only said “sorry, there’s a party tonight.” The staff are generally polite, but the owner is completely unprofessional. To make things worse, communication is terrible. If you try to call or write before your stay, no one answers until the very last moment, and then they tell you they cannot help. I saw in reviews that the owner even refused to refund a booking canceled due to a flight cancellation from bad weather — so always book with free cancellation here, otherwise you will regret it. Overall: dirty, noisy, smelly, badly managed. Absolutely not worth the money and not a place I would ever recommend.

Kemawan was such an amazing place to stay. All of the staff are so friendly and helpful. Ade, went above and beyond to ensure I had what I needed. I stayed for 5 nights but I'd happily stay here for much longer. It's so nice being surrounded by nature and it's not far from Ubud central 😊

This was my first experience staying at a villa. I only stayed for two nights, but I was very satisfied. The room was also very clean! The staff were especially polite and helpful! Staff member ADE was extremely hospitable and helpful with all my needs. It can be difficult to find the location using Grab and other methods, but the staff will transfer you to the phone and explain things to you in detail, so it's no problem! In recent years, Ubud has become a bustling shopping district, so this villa is perfect for those looking for a quieter experience. The only downside was that there were a lot of fallen leaves floating around in the pool, which meant we couldn't get in. It would have been nice if there was a net or something, but even with that in mind, I was very satisfied.

The hotel is very quiet, and the pool is beautiful, perfect for lounging and relaxing. I bought some fruit, snacks, and drinks in advance, and it was so relaxing to chat in the gazebo! The breakfast was also very good, delivered directly to my room every morning. The hotel isn't far from central Ubud, but traffic is always a concern, so a taxi ride takes about half an hour. If you're on a tight schedule in Ubud, staying at this hotel would be a waste of the beautiful pool and views. 😎

The villa is new and clean. Five of us stayed in the three-bedroom Villa 9 and were incredibly satisfied. Upon entering the villa, we were greeted by a private pool (facing a beautiful rice paddy field). The room was spacious, with a floor-to-ceiling mosquito net for a restful sleep, and the bathroom was spacious, allowing for a soak while enjoying the view. Breakfast must be ordered a day in advance and delivered to your villa. There are a variety of breakfast options, all served piping hot and delicious. Every staff member at the villa was friendly and polite, with a smile on their face, which made our stay very enjoyable. However, as it's only been open for a year, the location can be a bit difficult to find. If you're calling a taxi, please contact the staff and ask the driver for directions. Highly recommended for a group stay.

These are probably the best villas in Bali. Great helpful staff. The service couldn't be better. Thank you!
