Dreams Bahia Mita Surf & Spa - All Inclusive

Excellent food and facilities for kids, the beach is not as bad as what other people described. However, I think the cleanliness should be improved as I found the water in the hot tube to be quite dirty.

The views of the Pacific Ocean were amazing from the pools. The food was amazing, particularly the Italian and Mexican restaurants. The service was spectacular! Benco made sure we had beverages near the pool with excellent service. Enrique with the Entertainment Team was very friendly and had lots of great activities planned including yoga and volleyball on the beach.

Shoutout: Wanted to give a shout out to Isamal for being such a patient and accommodating bartender at the preferred bar. He made us delicious drinks and was able to take requests from all 15 of us. He also had a lot of drink recommendations and they were all delicious. He was chatting with us and felt like a part of the group. Wanted to give him a special shout out because he deserves it. Also sorry if I spelled his name wrong! But please refer to the picture! Overall Review: I was there for a family reunion and as a guest I overall had a good time. I was only there for two nights and I didn’t have to do any of the planning so my experience was overall great. The hotel was clean, rooms were nice, staff was nice, the food was decent, and the overall resort was pretty massive. My only qualm is that it takes a while to get to certain areas because the resort is so big. We actually stayed in the secrets side, but needed to walk to the dreams side to see the kids took forever. The dreams side was also very hard to navigate. Overall I’d stay there again on the secrets side.

My family and I stayed at Dreams Bahia Mita for a week and would gladly return! From beginning to end we had an amazing experience. The check-in staff was extremely helpful in making sure we had the appropriate room (2 queen beds) and we were happy to be near the kids water park. Our bags were promptly delivered to our room within 15 minutes. The room was comfortable and was a great size. Our minibar was refreshed daily and our housekeeper, Alba, made sure our room was immaculate. Every single meal we had was delicious. Special thanks to Yesenia and Kristia, our breakfast hostesses who always greeted us with smiles and coffee. Also, Ana at the omelette station was so kind and cheerful. Manuel was our rockstar waiter at Himitsu who took great care of us. A special thanks to Javi for signing me up for ziplining which I highly recommended to everyone. I felt completely safe with Antonio and Alfredo the entire time and they clearly love what they do. We splurged on a Marieta cabana and it was well worth it. Erick and Mario made us feel like royalty with their outstanding customer service. The Entertainment Team was one of the best I’ve seen and I’ve been to several Dreams resorts. Irma especially knocks it out of the park. My 8 year old absolutely loved being at the Explorers Club all day, every single day. Thank you to Violeta, Brisa, Maggie, Cali, and Jennifer for all of the fun enrichment activities offered. You all mean the world to my child who was so sad to leave you. We didn’t get a chance to try every single restaurant but we especially loved the ceviche at Seaside Grill, the taco place, and the treats at Mita Cafe. The crepes at the stand outside of Coco Cafe were also tasty. The gym is also well-equipped with machines, including 2 Peloton bikes which is rare to find in Mexico. We can’t wait to come back again soon. This resort is definitely one of the best we’ve ever been to!

Bahía Mira Dreams boasts grand accommodations and stunning grounds, with the beach being a true highlight for this side of Mexico. While rip current advisories popped up a couple of days, other days allowed for wading into the ocean. The beach is sandy with some rocky patches at the wave break, but still offers a refreshing alternative to poolside lounging and is somewhat walkable. While nothing extraordinary, the pools served their purpose. The kids especially enjoyed the mini slide and the swim up bar pools. Though technically the swim up bar and jacuzzi in the Dreams (family side of the resort) is an adults only area, the relaxed enforcement across was appreciated by the families despite some bartenders seeming annoyed by endless strawberry daiquiri requests! That swim up bar, by the way, offered the best ocean view at the resort. Our main disappointments were the subpar food and limited restaurant selections. The seafood options were scarce and the overall menu across all restaurants lacked creativity. The Mexican themed restaurant, in particular, was surprisingly bland and more like reheated catering than a proper culinary experience. The alcohol selection in the Dreams section was noticeably bottom shelf options. We only found better options by venturing to the Secrets adult only pools after our kids enjoyed the kids' club. It would have been nice not to feel like second class guests in the Dreams section. On a positive note, the kids adored the water park and spent endless hours on the slides. The taco truck by that pool was the best food experience we had at the resort! Well the Italian did have some hits with our group as well. Most of the staff were friendly and accommodating, though a few bartenders seemed less enthusiastic. The spa offered a decent experience, and the saunas and water features made up for a creaky massage table. The zip line was also a decent experience. The kids loved zipping through the trees and trying to one up each other. The best part it’s in the resort so no traveling to a destination and it takes a little over an hour to complete. The guides were awesome and had the best attitudes of the staff at the resort. The resort offered some after dinner themed nights which we did not take advantage of many because the kids were mostly wiped out from the long days. In summary, a beautiful resort with great family friendly amenities and beachfront access, but room for improvement in dining and drink quality.
