Das Hotel Spa Resort Styria liegt gegenüber dem Golfplatz in Bad Waltersdorf, etwas entfernt von den anderen Thermenhotels in diesem Ort. Unser Zimmer war super, groß, sauber, großes Bad mit Dusche und Wanne, separates WC. Großer Flatscreen, Kaffeemaschine mit Kaffee, Safe, Klimaanlage und Badeutensilien vorhanden. Sehr gute Matratzen. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber. Einzig bei den Glastüren, die sich beim Hinaus- bzw. Hineinschwimmen der Pools öffnen, ist eine Reinigung angesagt. Sie sind sehr verkalkt und auch etlicher Schmutz ist schon angesiedelt. Auch gibt es auf den Holzböden der Terrassen etliche fehlerhafte Bretter, die ausgetauscht werden sollten. Das Personal ist freundlich, besonders die Kellner und das Reinigungspersonal. Das Personal bei der Rezeption ist auch freundlich, nur sollte alles im Hotel vorhandene besser erklärt werden, dass man es nicht erst am Ende des Urlaubs erfährt. Die Gastronomie ist in Ordnung, aber das Gebäck ist eine Katastrophe, nicht knusprig so richt altbacken und zäh. Die Brote sind jedoch sehr gut. Das Frühstück wird in Buffetform gereicht, das Abendessen teils serviert, teils Selbstbedienung.

Als Paar mit etlicher Wellnesshotel Erfahrung wurden wir hier sehr enttäuscht. Positiv erwähnen können wir die Lage vom Hotel und das sehr freundliche Gastro Personal. Negativ muss erwähnt werden, dass Buchungswünsche im Spa Bereich bei der Buchung bestätigt, am Tag der Leistung nicht eingehalten wurden. Nach dem Motto "Pech gehabt". Zumindest hätte man den Gast vorab darüber informieren können. Noch nie ein so unfreundliches und inkompetentes Personal erlebt. Man hatte als Gast das Gefühl, hier hat "niemand" Freude an der Arbeit. Zum Bemängeln beim Check out, hier wurde nicht mal gefragt, ob beim Aufenthalt alles in Ordnung war. Auch hier vermissten wir die kundenorientierte Freundlichkeit.

Von einem Hotel mit einer Bewertung von 4 Sterne plus erwarte ich mir wesentlich mehr!! Das Zimmer - Junior Suite - war passend - sauber und geräumig aber auch schon leicht abgewohnt. Frühstück war passend und es gab nichts zu bemängeln ABER die Speisen am Abend - als Bestandteil einer sog. Halbpension - waren sowohl geschmacklich als auch optisch absolut nicht entsprechend und diese Küchenleistung kann leider NICHT empfohlen werden. In Summe ist daher auch das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis nicht mehr passend - schade. Aufschläge beispielsweise beim Wein von EKP: VKP pro Flasche mit Faktor 5 und mehr bei solch schwacher Leistung der Küche ist bemerkenswert und grenzt eigentlich schon an Selbstüberschätzung.

Uns gefällt in diesem Hotel der Außenliegebereich sehr gut. Drinnen zu liegen ist nicht so schön, da es meistens sehr heiß und stickig ist. toll ist, dass das Außenbecken auch am Abend noch genutzt werden kann. Das Essen ist sehr gut, sowohl zum Frühstück als auch am Abend. Preis-/Leistung passen absolut.

Ein Traumurlaub , wo es an nichts fehlte. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und humorvoll und jeder Wunsch wird einem von den Augen abgelesen. Es gibt nichts zu bemängeln, da alles von der Buchung, über den Check-in, der Service usw einfach perfekt sind

Die Freundlichkeit an der Rezeption ist meiner Meinung nach ausbaufähig. Spa-Nutzung am Abreisetag nur bis 11 Uhr und ansonsten mit sehr hohem Aufpreis verbunden - das läuft in vielen anderen Hotels schon besser ab. Frühstück war sehr gut, auch das Abendessen war in Ordnung. Bei den Duschen im Spa-Bereich roch es immer nach Kanal, was sehr unangenehm war. Für diesen Preis kommen wir bestimmt nicht wieder, Preis/Leistung für mich nicht gerechtfertigt!

Ärgerliche Extra Gebühren
Wichtig zu wissen: 100,- Eur pro Doppelzimmer Extra Gebühr für die Spa Nutzung vor 15 und nach 11 Uhr am An- & Abreisetag. (25,- pro Person an beiden Tagen)
Trotz Berwerbung als SPA Hotel sind Slippers (Pantoffel) nicht inkludiert und werden mit 8,90 Extra verrechnet!
Nachdem das Hotel im sehr ländlichen Bereich ist und man ja eigentlich nur wegen dem Spa kommt, finde ich diese Aufpreise nicht gerechtfertigt. Für 400,- Eur pro Nacht sollte man sich Pantoffel und einen normalen Spa Zugang erwarten können!
Immerhin haben wir auch kein Geld zurück bekommen, weil die angekündigte Live Band nicht gespielt hat. Irgendwie hat man das Gefühl dass man geschröpft wird.
Positive Punkte:
Das Frühstück war wirklich vielseitig und sehr reichlich.
Die Wärme des Wassers ist ideal.
Einige Saunen und reichlich Liegen.
Dennoch werden wir wohl nicht mehr wiederkommen weil wir uns sehr über die Aufpreise geärgert haben.
Ich verstehe, wenn aus Umweltgründen keine Pantoffel mehr ausgegeben werden. Dann wäre eine Info dazu vorab wünschenswert oder zumindest Flip Flops zum Selbstkostenpreis (der bei 2-3 eur liegt). Noch Profit aus einem eigenen Magel an Service zu schlagen ist untragbar.
