Terrible experience! Completely unprepared for English speaking customers. No one including the manager could speak English, they would talk German to you and then stare at you blankly. Very rude, uncourteous and unpleasant service and care. Avoid at all costs

Pros: delicious (traditional) food. Great sauna area. Fantastic selection of hikes in the vicinity. Very clean. Friendly staff (for the most part). Good special offer packages on website - value for money. Cons: Rooms a little outdated. Some staff occasionally grumpy. Limited communication between staff on arrangements made for guests.

Excellent cooking and service. Beautiful nature in direct environment. Every day we started with a good breakfast (great variety) and went off for challenging walks. In the afternoon we visited a public swimming pool (free entrance, and very clean, never saw anything like it before) or enjoyed the sauna within the hotel (also very hygienic). In the late afternoon we enjoyed a couple of beers (served cold !) and sat down for a terrific diner. What else do you want? We hope te return soon.

We booked a room in this hotel yesterday via booking around 5:45 p.m.…. On the way around 6:30 p.m. my partner was stung by a wasp and developed an allergy. We were forced to turn around and cancel. The booking platform understood the problem and asked us to contact the establishment to explain the situation and that normally they should be able to reimburse us for the entire room! Well, no, these charming hoteliers didn’t want to! So they will keep our €112!! Great mentality! Really good traders! I would be ashamed in their place 🤬 🤬😡🤬

First time in the Black Forest, very good base for excursions. Nice hotel (3*) However, a few comments: 1) 5 course menu is exaggerated, "small salad" is not a course... 2) Good and friendly service, but the boss was very nervous 3) Lunch snack was not possible, lunch package minimal 4) When paying, just pay, not asked if we had a good holiday... Info on website not up to date.

had a great week in this hotel. A super room in the annex with an amazing view. I would not have chosen the annex building in advance, but that is where the top rooms are located. Breakfast and (culinary high-quality) dinner were included. As well as use the sauna facilities. Calculating back, we were there really cheaply for a 5 star stay. And every question was resolved. Cups in the room to make your own coffee, no problem, take it with you, bathrobe for the sauna, of course we will arrange it. no questions at most answers. People knew who you were and what room you had. Not once was it asked. And every day the room was sparkling clean. I would go back here in a heartbeat.... The elevator could no longer be used after 10:30 PM, which made the nights extra quiet.

This hotel is highly recommended, the owners are very friendly as well as the staff. The breakfast buffet is extensive and the dinner is very tasty. We booked a superior room and it met our expectations. Outside the hotel there is not much to see in the area, but one can take a little train and visit several towns. The hotel is more than OK, but the surroundings are less so

Beautiful rooms with terrace. Excellent breakfast with the option to order fresh egg preparations during breakfast + very wide choice of all kinds of breakfast items. Very tasty food, the only disadvantage (for me…) was that you are expected to be at the table between 1800 and 1900.

We arrived shortly after 8 a.m. There was nothing left for us guests to eat in this 3* hotel, which is all the more surprising as there isn't even a kebab stand in this somewhat run-down hamlet - we were then advised to go to Peterstal - after all, 4 km there and back (on foot). really very good room, very large and pleasant - soap dishes but no soap?? evening dinner time requirement - difficult to have an aperitif before dinner if you return from your day around 5-6 p.m.!! - requirement to pay for the stay the evening before departure and also having to go to reception before 9 p.m.!! two of the owners are very unpleasant with the staff - on the other hand the staff does everything possible for the customers, the cuisine is very good, the menus varied - the place is not really great but approx. 15Km there are very beautiful villages

We were looking for a wellness hotel to be able to relax, unfortunately we had to ask several times before we were shown the wellness area. The opening hours were only limited to 3 hours (3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.). Hotel around 50 years old, partially renovated. Photos of the hotel make it look like the hotel is relatively new. That's not the case. Old spa hotel. The food was completely different to the advertising photos... 5 courses that any incompetent amateur cook could manage. Better just book breakfast and go out to eat. The food in the hotel opposite was delicious.... Our room furnishings around 40 years old. Clean and OK, but old. Bathroom relatively new and OK, but hairdryer was disintegrating and the towels were thin rags. Sauna area OK, but only usable from 3-6 p.m. 8 loungers and 4 chairs. If more guests come, it gets crowded... 3 saunas!! Surcharge for Visa payment: 2 percent!!
