The Steigenberger Hotel is located in the centre of Bad Neuenahr next to the Kurpark and dates from 1860. The hotel was fully rebuilt in 2021-2024, reopened on 1 June 2024 and offers 216 rooms over 4 floors. Furnishings and decoration provide a quality atmosphere. Service is adequate. The catastrophe flooding in the Ahr Valley of July 2021 seriously damaged the hotel. To date the Ahr-Thermen are being rebuild. We came a week after the reopening of the Steigenberger. The parking and spa & pool weren’t open yet. The restaurant was closed for lunch and dinner. We were referred to the bistro, which is having the atmosphere of a bus-station café. Our comfortable room had desk & chair, air-conditioning & heating, TV, 2 club chairs & coffee-table, Nespresso & tea facility, a very good kingsize bed, and separate a wardrobe room with safe and a tiny French balcony. Windows can be opened but don’t have mosquito screens. We had a nice bathroom with washbasin, toilet & shower. All was very clean. A very good buffet breakfast is served: eggs made to order, cold cuts & cheeses, breads & toast, cereals & fruits, milk & yoghurts, juices & preserves, rolls & croissants, tea & coffee. Steigenberger Bad Neuenahr is a comfortable hotel, but without the Ahr-Thermen the town is uninteresting. We booked for a week and left after 2 days.

The hotel leavs on its old glory, but without succes. This is our fourth stay at the hotel. It is nicely renovated after the floods, but this is the only positive thing I can say about the hotel. Poor service, reception overwhelmed, bad cleaning. When we checked inn the room was not properly cleaned. We told the reception 3 times. Nothing happen. After the fourth time we renounced. At the previous stays at the hotel we didn't experience similar things. Attention, there are still a lot of works both in the hotel and in the vicinity.

Die Lage ist wunderschön eingebettet zwischen Kurpark und Stadt...Allerdings ließ die Sauberkeit sehr zu wünschen übrig...unter dem Bett befanden sich Staubwolken und Schokoladenpapier, hier war wohl längere Zeit nicht mehr gereinigt worden. Am Empfang würden wir von einem unerfahrenen Mitarbeiter empfangen, kannte sich leider nicht mit den Konditionen aus und hatte leider auch nicht nachgefragt. Schade bei so einem erstklassiges Hotel hatten wir besseren Service erwartet.

Vom ersten Eindruck beim Einchecken, beim Betreten des Hotelzimmers bis zum Frühstücksbüffet, Alles auf 5 Sterne Niveau. Ausgezeichnet auch der Fitness Bereich und das Schwimmbad. Sowohl fūr ein Wellness Wochenende als auch für einen Business Trip sehr zu empfehlen!

Nach der Flutkatastrophe in 2021 wurde das Hotel 2024 komplett renoviert und wieder neu eröffnet . Alles sehr schick und elegant gebaut, funktional und komfortabel . Top Lage, wenn man über die kleine Brücke neben dem Hotel geht, ist man schon in der Altstadt von Bad Neuenahr, die wieder komplett von Geschäften und Gastronomie bespielt wird . Sehr bequeme Betten, funktionelle Einrichtung der Zimmer und eine Rain- Shower Dusche im Bad. [ hier fehlt allerdings ein Rasierer/Schminkspiegel ] . Das Frühstücksbuffet war exzellent und sehr vielseitig, mit frischen Produkten bestückt . Der Frühstückservice sehr emsig und aufmerksam . Der Fitnessraum hat qualitativ hochwertige Geräte, ist allerdings sehr schmucklos eingerichtet; da würde ein bisschen Dekoration noch viel helfen. Riesiger Pool mit bequemem Liege- Interieur, allerdings war dieser mit 21° zu kalt . Saunabereich sehr entspannend. Ausreichend, teils auch kostenlose Parkplätze, direkt neben dem Hotel . Etwas erschrocken bin ich über die Preisgestaltung im Restaurant 1838 und im Bistro ORA... hier sind die Preise für meinen Geschmack extrem hoch, wir waren zweimal in der Innenstadt zum Essen, dort gibt es viele Restaurants mit angemessenen Preisen. Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit, gerne wieder bei einem Besuch in dieser schönen Stadt .

Wir waren hier schon oft für ein paar Tage zu Gast und auch diesmal hat es uns gut gefallen. Wir hatten sehr ruhige Zimmer im ersten Stock, eine Juniorsuite und ein Superiorzimmer. Eine freundliche Begrüßungskarte mit zwei leckeren Muffins war schon ein nettes Willkommen. Das Frühstück war klasse und das Personal überall freundlich. Der Spa- und Poolbereich war teilweise stark frequentiert. Der Pool ist mit knapp 21 Grad ( Klimakrise hin oder her) für ein Hotel schon recht frisch, aber ansonsten sehr schön.
