It is a very nice hotel, with nice staff and in an excellent location. Cable car, local thermal bath, old town, city park are just in a few minute walk distance. We were on half board and food - especially dinner - was outstanding! All 3 dinners were amaizing for both of us, as we had different choices each night. Highly recommended, beyond expectation.

I've been here many times when it was the 5-star Grand Park Hotel, prior to April 2016. The building is the same, the rooms are still clean and the spa remains excellent. The service obviously isn't quite as good as it used to be, having dropped a star but is still perfectly acceptable. The main change, and unfortunately disappointment, is the restaurant. The Grand Park restaurant, run by Jatin, really was a particular delight and the new hotel doesn't hold a candle to it.

Basically a good hotel, but skiing area not so good and quite dull city. But if you are for a nice well equipped sauna/spa area and nice dining, then the hotel in itself is really nice.

The hotel is in a great location, and it's easy to walk around for cute shops and cafes. The restaurant at the hotel was very good for breakfast and dinner, and the staff were amazing!

Generaly we go for 2 nights in that hotel to remember building which was long years ago top 5 star Grand hotel, maybe even the best hotel in Gastein valley We know that in this time hotel have a new owner, some chain of 4 hotels in Austria, and that is not 5 star any more but 4 star. Building is more or less the same, in yellow color, some renovations was made in dinner /breakfast room and wellnes area as we can saw. Room in 4.th floor where we stay was old, need a strong renovation Staff at brekfast and dinner was nice, at bar young lady first night stay more time outside bar than inside, so you wait and wait. And dont know about tea they have at hotel nothing as we understand next evening when another waiter serve us totatly different and proffesional. And point when we think to leave the Hotel at once: we want to go to pool and wellnes area. Hotel dont have bathrobe in rooms, you must collect tham at Reception. Dont like that but thats Hotel policy. And when talk with lady who itrodused herself as reception manager, she told that in Austria is in 4 star hotel normal that bathrobe is not at rooms, We disagree with that because its not true. And tell her that. We stay last 40 years in Austria in a lot 5 but also in 4 stars hotels ... Kitzbuhel, Schladming, Flachau, Salzburg, Vienna, Velden, Bad kleinkircheim, Ischgl, Lech ... and normaly bathrobe is already in the room. And that lady Reception manager in one point simple said if we dont like that we can leave hotel at once and go to Kitzbuhel or somewhere else.She turn and said " I will not talk with you anymore". Lady litteraly kicked us out of the hotel just because we disagree with her bathrobe 4 star Austria hotel story. Front office - reception manager !!! We hope that sameone of owners of this hotel read Tripadvisor to know have some staff throwing their money out the window. Definitiy never ever stay at that hotel who has so great history.

One & a half hours from Saltsburg airport finds us at this hotel. Within 5 minutes walk of main gondola and right next to shops & cafés of the town. Roms were more than we expected, very large, a comfortable bed and his & hers' sinks in the bathroom. Large balcony with stunning views. Evening meal was lovely every day, well presented and hot. The veal was spot on. Breakfast time gives you buffet choices from cereal, yoghurts, or fully cooked. Again, we could not fault it. The bar has a very cozy feel to it and all drinks are priced fairly. The downstairs spa area is very spacious & relaxing after a day's skiing. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel. Notes: predominantly German/ Austrian guests but very friendly. There is no kettle in the room.
