Viajero Bacalar Hostel
"I'm hosted here and the attention is very good. I'm helping with everything in recommendations to go to dinner, breakfast activities to do. I would certainly return 🤠"
Hotel Amainah Bacalar Adults Only
"The service and food were delicious. Great location."
The Yak Lake House - Hostal
"Great fun and clean hostel. The party on a Wednesday is great craic. Very friendly helpful and welcoming staff. Rooms are clean"
Hotel Lydna Ki'n
"Unlike other similarly priced hotels in Bacalar, this one offers a simple breakfast – coffee (delicious, I might add), fresh fruit (very welcome when traveling), toast, and jam. The rooms are exactly as described. The staff are great, very helpful. Excellent value for money."

Cristalino Lagoon Front Hotel, Restaurant & Spa
"This was our second stay at Cristalino Lake Front Hotel in just three weeks, and we already can’t wait to return again! The lagoon here is absolutely stunning — crystal-clear, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing or taking a boat out (we loved taking Frieda out on the water!). The hotel itself is gorgeous — comfortable rooms, amazing lake views, and a calm, friendly vibe that makes it so easy to unwind. Everything feels thoughtfully designed, from the dock to the little details in the rooms. We truly love this place — it’s become one of our favorite spots in Bacalar. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing escape right on the lagoon!"
Asilé Hotel Boutique
"Light, friendly room. Calm and still in the centre.. Top terrace for everyone. The birds of the evening at darkness are a great natural experience. But the hit is that you get a Day Pass daily for Mayan Playa. Paradise on Earth. With Uber to about 65 Mex. With taxi return 100 Mex. you feel like on the Maldives❤️"
Hotel Maria Maria
"This place is adorable .. the upper balconies have a nice view of the terrace and part of the lagoon. The host/owner is really kind and makes you a complementary breakfast each morning. This place is half a block up from the lagoon’s free public dock and a couple blocks from the city center which comes alive at night! We wandered all over the area and would choose this place again in a heartbeat!"
Our Habitas Bacalar - Adults Only
"The cabins were beautiful, and the bathrooms were open-air. The Lagoon Breeze Rooms offered almost no view of the lagoon and felt similar to the Jungle Rooms. The restaurant was surprisingly delicious! The most worthwhile activity was the hotel's paddleboard sunrise activity, which cost an extra fee. However, it was very private and included coffee and fruit. A truly worthwhile experience!"

Hotel Carolina Bacalar
"The scenery is beautiful, and everything is great."
Tropic Bacalar
"Very nice location that faces directly the lagoon. You can rent a kayak or a sup directly with the hotel and visit the surroundings yourself without having to pay the expensive organised tours in the city center. They have a common kitchen you can use any time. They serve the breakfast here (not too fancy but good enough for my needs). The staff is really open, kind, and helpful. I would definitely come back."
Casa Árabe
"It was amazing! I was super well treated and the food is delicious. The place is super beautiful to take photos also."
Agam Hotel
"The hotel is very nice to put a but it's the TV that loses signal and the shower overall sweeps all perfectly I recommend it 100x100"
Hotel Henry Bacalar
Hotel Makech
Casa Delia Hotel Downtown
"Our stay at the hotel was just perfect! The accomodation is very centrally located in Bacalar so you can just walk there if you arrive by bus. Also the city centre/main square are easily reachable by foot. The rooms were very clean and we felt very good at the hang-out area with the pool. As our bus for our next stop left late in the night they let us leave our luggage at the hotel until the evening and we were even able to spend some more time at the complex. All in all a 100% recommendation!"
Royal Palm Bacalar Cabañas & Lagoon Club
Tierra Maya Hotel Spa & Sanctuary
"Hotel was overall decent. However, in a Few occasions when we asked to have the room clean , food was left in the room. We also had a scorpion in our shower which made it very scary to shower after."
Boca de Agua Bacalar
"Unique style design"
Hotel Azulea Bacalar - Lagoon Front
Blue Palm Bacalar
"Even if I try, I can't find a single thing that went wrong with this stay: beautiful property, same goes for the pool and rooms, good location, always available and very kind staff, wonderful and abundant breakfast! I would have loved to stay much longer!"
Casa Aakal Lagoon Front
"Extremely overpriced for what they provide, hotel pictures show it better than what it really is. Hotel is 25 minutes walk away from the centre. The hotel is ship containers built as hotel rooms which are much smaller than in the pictures. The walls have no insulation so you can hear everything from surrounding rooms at all times. Staff does not speak english but can be helpful with google translate. Breakfast is very poor, cornflakes filter coffee and ham and cheese sandwiches, there is a nespresso coffee machine but that is not included in the breakfast you paid for. The water shown in the pictures is very shallow and you can barely swim there. Renting a kayak is not included and has an extra charge. 3 star accomodation at best."
Hotel CasaBakal - A Pie de Laguna - Bacalar
Azul 36 Hotel
"A little oasis.. Azul 36 was just perfect, we loved our 3 night stay. Comfy bed, good shower, great Aircon, the pool is small but beautiful, check in was easy, breakfast was delicious and it’s a 5 min walk into town. We had a parking space but there’s plenty of on street parking too. It was our wedding anniversary when we arrived and my hubby had organised a bottle of fizz for us, which was cooling in an ice bucket, with two champagne flutes and even a rose. Just lovely."
