"The staff was kind and the service was good. Especially for Wang Chan, it is a specialty inn of Wangko. Food が Luxury です, local wine も complete. The hot springs were great and the room was comfortable. It's a little far away, so I recommend it to anyone who wants to spend quietly."

"One of the best ryokans I’ve experienced. Now on my fourth visit (month long) . The places has been totally rebuilt since a fire in 2018 and is still like new. Each room has a partly open tub but there are also public ones indoors and outside. Food is amazing. You can watch the chefs work through a viewing window. Both breakfasts and dinners are served in your own room with views on to either the pond or garden. Very tranquil setting."

Awara Grand Hotel

"The staff were very friendly, and I was able to relax and feel at ease as a female traveller traveling alone. The map of nearby restaurants was very helpful, and I was able to enjoy delicious Fukui food even though I was staying overnight without meals. There were also many different types of hot springs, so it was fun to try them all."

Awara Onsen Tsuruya

"The building is impressive, with the appearance of a long-established luxury inn, but there are some noticeable corner-cutting in the details. I went there with high expectations, but it was a bit disjointed, which is disappointing. I don't actively recommend it, and I won't be returning, even though the building is impressive."
