Palatul Brukenthal Avrig

Captivated by the history of the Palace and its garden, often described as a “Transylvanian Eden,” I decided to visit it some time ago, and I’m glad to say it did not disappoint. The Brukenthal Palace is located in a quiet area in Avrig, Sibiu, surrounded by a vast garden that enhances the tranquility of the place while also adding to its beauty. The garden itself is an oasis of serenity, perfect for a picnic with loved ones or a solitary walk to reconnect with nature, making it easy to forget that you’re actually in a rather crowded city. I had the luck to see the Palace prepared for a wedding that was about to happen and it was ravishing, the perfect venue for a refined party. I also enjoyed the location's new pool, that is well cleaned and beautifully decorated, situated very close to the Palaces area. It’s a place you’ll surely fall in love with!

A nice place, the garden is amezing. It will cost you to visit this place 40 lei, aproximatly 5 Euro, but you will also visit the exibithions. If you only want to visit the garden, you will pay apriximatly 2 Euro. You can buy from there some suvenirs, you can also stay and relax in that beautiful garden and you can drink something from the restaurant.

I had the opportunity to visit this wonderful place located near Sibiu. When you go there once, something happens deep down in your heart, I think it is the mystery of history playing with the quality of the service! The kindness of the people, the beauty of the gardens and the taste of the food will remain in your memory! Keep in mind BRUKENTHAL, because it will remain like a pattern!

Outstanding and a must where you are in the heart of Transilvania.The place was for a long time abandoned by the local council but Michelle and Arnold gaved they re very best of they re time and energy and funds to build back up this lovely establishment and reconstruct the spirit of Herr Brukentall back to the Avrig city .Im sure that the work paid off the day they reopennned the gates of the castle to the public offering them the best of the best what the region has to offer to its guests .Been there only a few times now as we live abroad but when we travel back home we always make time to go and visit this lovely special place as the service and the attention to details is remarcable and one can feel special here .Authentic local cuisine together with a lovely decorated salon makes one feel just like in a fairytale back in those days when royals lived .Outside garden is a must also for the little ones specially as they do so much for the kids like no other establisment in the area .Staff is well prepared and owners are a delight ,in winter they organise all sorts of events and the most known artists visit this place on a regular base.Its good for the city and it promovates Transilvania and its people .One must be proud of just being there close to the mountains but all the rest what this place has to offer makes the experience unforgetable .Thank you for taking care of us always and see you guys in a few weeks .❤

Superb lication, we are super excited by the beauty of the place, everything was perfect. The rooms were clean and the staff very nice. The exhibitions have a special charm. We will definitely come back as soon as possible
