Element Austin Downtown

We loved staying here! It was my first time in Austin, and the hotel is close to everything. You can drive or walk to different places. The beds were super comfortable! It was also cool to have a kitchenette inside the room, with glassware, a refrigerator, microwave, and utensils that are essential to us. Service is topnotch as well. The only downside is that their walls are pretty thin. We could hear our neighbor talking and watching TV. I suggest bringing earplugs if you’re a light sleeper, just in case!

The hotel is remodeled and clean but like most major remodels, they don't replace and can't fix everything to work like new. For example, our room door was almost impossible for my 5' tall wife to open (too tight), the bathroom door squeaked, the door leading to the adjoined room had a large enough gap to hear my neighbor like he was in my room etc... But... the staff makes this place. They are nice from the door to the breakfast area. Especially "Luis" who had to keep up with constant scrambled egg orders with a smile. And his back of the house staff weren't helping much running out of forks and large plates :). Luis had to run to the back to do dishes in order to keep serving his well-made egg scrambles the crowd that seemed to keep coming.

Such a great hotel. New rooms that are well equipped and clean. The location is excellent. You can walk to so many places from here. One of the best hotel gyms we have used and the staff were all very friendly. The free breakfast was excellent - such a good range of food and beverages.

Really nice place! Close to the capitol building and other areas. Safe and well maintained. Would stay here again if I am in Austin.

The complimentary breakfasts were fantastic, staff was kind and helpful, and location is perfect if you want to spend time on or around 6th street.
