Overall we were very pleased with this hotel. The location was close to where we needed to be, the facilities were very up to date and well-kept, the staff was friendly and efficient, and we got a lower room rate than we were expecting. I think that is because the hotel is very close to the Q2 soccer stadium, and the fans probably fill up the hotel when there are games. However, there were no games there during our three day visit, so the hotel was mostly empty and very quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. I’d probably give this hotel 4.5 stars. The hotel breakfast is not included in the base price and is quite expensive; we were happy to eat out instead so that was not a big deal. The signage on the hotel is very strange; once you turn in off Burnet Road, there are no signs, and you are too close to see the sign at the top of the building at that point. The parking garage levels are very steep, to the point of it being difficult to get out of the car with gravity pushing your door shut on you. If you are on the older side or wrestling with getting awkward items out of the car with you, it’s tricky. Oh, and there is no swimming pool. My final small issue was that the bathroom didn’t have a single proper hanger to hang clothes or a toiletry bag on, just a shower hook wedged in between the door frame and the shower frame. These would not be deal-breakers for me, but some people might appreciate knowing these details. I’d definitely stay there again, certainly for the room rate we got!
