Stayed with my family for a couple of days while traveling through Texas in August 2025. The staff were very nice and the room was clean, unfortunately since the hotel is old/historic, the AC unit in the room was weak & couldn’t keep up. Probably 76-78 degrees in the room at night. The second negative would be because construction was going on, the beautiful bar from pictures, was not open. The bar was located in the main lobby. Elevators are slow & take forever. The plus side, the bakery was delicious, had a coffee/pastry every morning & they didn’t disappoint. If you are visiting Austin, the hotel is cool to see but probably wouldn’t stay in again.

The Driskill has always been a favorite Austin hotel. Full of history and beautiful. The rooms are beautiful and the staff is friendly and so helpful. The 1886 cafe for breakfast is a must as well as the cinnamon bun! The bar was being remodeled at the time but it is absolutely fantastic. The pretzel and old fashions are wonderful.

The Driskill is a wonderful historic hotel with a great location. Just steps to some great bars and entertainment. The Paramont is just a short walk and has its own history

Love the service. All of the staff was helpful and happy. The history and preservation of the old hotel is outstanding. We also spent some good time in the bar.

Amazing hotel in a great location. The rooms were incredibly nice, well stocked and the beds/bedding were really comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, even checking me in at 11:30am for which I was thankful after an early morning flight. We could walk to E. Sixth St and all the bars and restaurants and a quick few minute ride to shopping on South Congress St. Definitely recommend!

The hotel is really beautiful and charming. The staff was super accommodating and professional. The beds and linseed were great and super comfortable. The bathroom was very nicely updated and provided all of the accommodations needed. I will be back to stay at The Driskill again!

An absolutely stunning property. The history of the hotel is incredibly interesting. Staff could not do enough to ensure guests are having the most wonderful time. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The bar was unfortunately closed when I stayed there but the lobby cafe and bar was a great spot to have a drink or meal.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and stayed again for our 11th anniversary. It's a great hotel, and very centrally located just off of 6th street. We got room service and everything was fantastic, and although the bar is being renovated, we were still able to get drinks in the lobby. The one downside is it's an old hotel and the city of Austin has grown up around it so you won't be able to see much from your room.
