Pretty good location in downtown, easy to walk to public transport. It's an older hotel but meets all basic needs. Breakfast is simple but sufficient.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites Austin Downtown and used their valet service operated by Parking Management Company (PMC). The first night everything was great, I tipped valet and they took great care of me, left my vehicle out front in case I needed it quickly. The second night it was a different valet staff. That morning when I retrieved my Escalade, it took longer to get than expected. Once I got it and got in I immediately noticed there were things in my vehicle that didn’t belong to me. A pair of dice, a top to a drink container and an open half drunk water bottle in my door as if someone had just been in my vehicle drinking and doing who knows what. I got out and gave the items to valet and said, “These are not mine.” I then traveled roughly 10 mins to my work site, but once I arrived, I noticed clear side-swipe damage that had occurred while in their care. I immediately reported it and filed a claim, but PMC denied responsibility because I had already left the property before discovering the damage. It’s unfortunate that such a reputable hotel brand allows a third-party valet company to operate under policies that offer guests no real protection in situations like this. I’ve since escalated the issue to Hilton Corporate and my insurance company. If you stay here, inspect your vehicle closely before leaving the valet area — the company’s policy won’t help you after you drive away. I haven’t even had this vehicle a month!
