I stay in a lot of mid-level class hotels across the gulf coast and this Tru is a good example. Amenities are basic but good, a/c works, TV functions, and it's close to everything you'd need including being right on the highway and down the road from a Buc-Ee's. It's several years old so you get the wear that comes with a working-class hotel but wasn't bad. Not the cleanest I've stayed in (I sanitize my own rooms and see the dirt/build-up), but not the worst. Beds are comfortable.

i throughly enjoyed this stay, the staff was extremely friendly when checking in, the room was very well taken care of, clean bed and clean bathroom. the breakfast was good too. i would most definitely stay here again.

A guy standing on a12 ladder trying to pressure wash the building, he was lucky but they should have rented a JLG and that job would have been safer. I have a picture with him in action. Also water pressure in the shower was insufficient, and cleaning rooms every other day. They should make customers aware that they only clean rooms every other day. And breakfast, if you're not there early(when they put it out) it's gone! I got down there at 745am, still didn't get anything.
