The hotel discriminates against Chinese people! Do not live here!
2:30 We went to the front desk to register in advance and left a phone number, and contact me when there is a room. At 4:00, the hotel checks in normally. I went to the front desk, and the fat man who checked in said that my room was not available on the second floor, and there were no rooms on other floors, so I asked to leave my phone number and so on. OK, I'll wait! The 5/6 white guys and one Filipino guy behind me all checked in. It's been 35 minutes now. I contacted Ctrip for a refund. Within a minute they called my name to arrange check-in. It's fine, it's fine. As mid-range beach hotels go, it was good. There is no way to keep things pristine in such a hotel location, with people coming from the beach and the constant rough weather - sunny and hot and humid, then cold, and storms. There is wear in the room and you can see sand in the cracks, scratches and dents throughout the room. We had a decent view of the ocean, it was sufficiently clean, and the pools were cleaned and not crowded when we were there. When the toilet kept running, maintenance came and fixed it while we swam and ate dinner although I now wish we had told them about the slow draining sink too. Would I want to stay here for a full week? No (other places sell cookies but I do like that touch at check in). But for a night or two? Sure, although I don't know what in-season pricing is so there'd be a limit to what I'd be willing to pay before selecting a rental instead. The location is really what you get here. It has a nice boardwalk and beach access, and if you have loyalty with Hilton, this is the best you can do without going to Morehead City.

We have traveled here multiple times. We find this hotel very accommodating. The facilities are top notch. Parking is a breeze. Directly on ocean with killer views. Nice pool. Easy access to the beach. Staff is outstanding. Overall I would rate this hotel and staff as top notch. Definitely a regular for my wife and I

Una piacevole sorpresa, questo hotel che si trova nella bella Atlantic Beach. Affacciato sulla spiaggia, vicino a un bel molo, dotato di belle piscine, con anche un bar dove poter sorseggiare drink con vista o pranzare e cenare. Colazione ottima. Abbiamo trascorso due giorni davvero belli e ci ricorderemo di questo hotel che ha fatto da cornice al nostro soggiorno.

The hotel was run down, dogs everywhere, trash in the elevator and hotel entrance. The top floor smelled like smoke and had filthy carpets. The entire place needs to be remodeled. We were a little scared using the elevator. They offer buffet breakfast for $18 which was not worth it at all. You pay for the location only. Although the beach was very busy.

We were staying at the Doubletree just for one night before our nearby condo rental for the week. Due to the worldwide Hilton outage, couldn't check in (had checked in on line day before but nothing was working). They waited until 4 to start processing check-outs with a very long line. I felt badly for the staff. We could park and access the pool and beach, which was nice. When we finally got our room, it was on the second floor, and the balcony and view was of the rooftop to the lower part of the hotel, including the industrial parts (HVAC, etc). I was told that you needed to have oceanfront or partial oceanfront to be on a higher floor. For the price of the room, I wasn't thrilled. The room was very dated and small. Overall, not a great experience.

This hotel was the perfect beach getaway! We were two couples. No kid vacation for once. Quiet, uncrowded beach IN JUNE directly behind the hotel’s beach bar, Molly’s. Such a great little spot! They have umbrellas for guests at a very minimal cost and they bring them to your spot on the beach and set them up for you. Was soooo nice instead of digging ourselves. The front desk lends beach towels too. All of the staff, I mean ALL, that we encountered were so super friendly and welcoming. Jamie and Ted at the front desk, Diane at Molly’s, Shacondah at the restaurant and Bridget. The sweet housekeeper with the long skirt who greeted us with a smile every day. The hotel was very clean, the restaurant was very good. Great berries in the morning! Our room was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. The ocean view was pretty nice too! Easy parking. The town doesn’t have a lot to do besides eat, drink and go to the beach. It was a perfect trip and we would 100% stay here again!!

We have been staying here for several years . The service has always been great but this past time-impeccable. Staff are constantly cleaning the lobby entrances and hallways. Mopping up water from beach goers and picking up spilled sand from kids running here and there. The ladies cleaning the rooms on our floor were very polite and efficient. When we checked in we received a text a few minutes after arriving in our room from the manager on duty asking if our room was acceptable and if we needed anything. Complimentary water and cookies at check in as well. Throughout our stay staff always asked if we were ok, anything we need? Etc. the drains were running slow in our 9th floor bathroom and within 20 minutes of texting that in response to a text from management, two maintenance staff arrived to take care of the issue. The young lady working the pool area ine day consistently was changing out complimentary beach towels around the pool, keeping fresh towels on each chair around the pool. She was quick and efficient and stayed busy. As a Hilton Honors member check in is super easy and quick. We LOVE saying at Doubletree Atlantic Beach.
