This was my second time to stay in the Bastion Hotel. It's a great place to stay. It's very close to Sean's Bar and the Castle Inn. Rooms are comfortable and clean. They do not provide breakfast but there is a selection of teas and coffee available as well as fruit and buns. There is a restaurant across the road. On Sunday morning the Bailey restaurant is closest as others near are closed. It has a welcoming bohemian atmosphere and I felt at home. Prices are reasonable even if you stay at the weekend. I would definitely stay here again. The owners are very friendly too.

This is the best I have ever stayed in. Spotlessly clean. Comfy beds and so close to everywhere!! Really friendly , helpful hosts. This is my second time staying here and again it didn’t disappoint -well done 5 star all round!

I booked the b&b on a whim and I’m so glad I did. The rooms are simple but very comfortable and the lounge was a fantastic. It was so nice to have a space to sit and chat with the friends I was travelling with. I absolutely loved the decor and the location was perfect to! I cannot recommend it enough.

everything was wonderful. great location nice room, and good size, was perfect. The decor ... reveals an extreme good taste would highly reccomend and we will be returning. thank you for the pleasant stay

Had the Greatest Wedding EVER nearby and stayed in The Bastion. Anthony here is a real gent and the accommodation just perfect. Spotless, comfortable and utterly homely. Absolutely recommend. Fabulous location and price too.

Be very wary of making a booking online with them. It is outsourced to a company who appear to be based in Turkey and is faulty. The date i booked was changed to the date i made the booking on. I clearly clicked a different date and booked it. Only to find it had been changed. I got a text from owner with details of how to get into property but text did not include details of stay. So be careful of making a booking online as owners will tell you it is your fault.
