Stains on the sofa. Dark lightening. More importantly, there was a serious water flow problem for showering and washing faces, and they cannot fix the issue. We could not even clean ourselves properly. The location is not that good.

Good hotel in general. Very clean and comfy bed. Room was big enough and bathroom designed quite modern. The door to the bathroom could be a bit more isolating, but no big deal. No watercooker in the room, but we could borrow one from the restaurant. There is occasional noice from the busy main street but it is tolerable and we also only rarely heard other guests.
The staff was friendly and fulfilled all our requests.

Definitely a room at the back, the motorcycles are racing at night and can be very loud. Unfortunately there is no roof terrace yet. Rooms are newly renovated

Good location and cheap, it is definitely the king of cost-effectiveness of four-star hotels in Athens, highly recommended

The morning is rich, especially the authentic Greek yogurt, with many ingredients to choose from. The yogurt that costs 7-8 euros outside is unlimited here.
The bacon is very fresh and fragrant, delicious and not dry, and is available every day.
There are a wide variety of bread and cheese. In general, what I look forward to most every day is the rich morning. I will not be hungry until the evening after eating a meal. Two meals a day are stress-free.
There is a gym, two treadmills and some equipment. Although it is just a small house, it is also very convenient.
The hotel is in a good location, on a main road, with many free parking spaces. If you are not sure, you can park in the basement of the hotel. 10 euros/day. But in fact, the free parking spaces at the door of the hotel are very sufficient.
The bed and pillows of the hotel are also very comfortable. I slept for almost 11 hours on the first day I arrived at the hotel to adjust to the jet lag. I was able to sleep for more than 7 hours afterwards, which is still very good. The conditions are better than other hotels I have stayed in Europe.

My recent stay at the Athenas Avenue Hotel, located at 182 Syngrou Avenue in Athens, was determined by the travel agency Viagens Abreu as part of their "Greece with Meteora" package. This purported 4-star hotel, however, was far from satisfactory and left me deeply disappointed. Cleanliness and Hygiene The cleanliness of the hotel was alarmingly poor. Upon arrival, I was greeted by an elevator filled with dead mosquitoes, a sign of neglect that was only a prelude to the horrors awaiting in my room. On the first night, I thought it was mosquito until the second night when the bites were clearly in a pattern of bed bug infestation. The photos speak about the hotel. The room itself was infested with bed bugs, and I sustained numerous bites over my two-night stay. The photographs I took clearly depict the infestation, and as someone highly allergic, this was a particularly distressing experience. Shockingly, the reception staff seemed unsurprised by my report. Location and Accessibility The hotel's location is one of its major drawbacks. Situated in an isolated area, it is far removed from any of Athens' main attractions. This makes walking impractical and leaves guests without options of restaurants or stores, severely limiting convenience and enjoyment.(There is one restaurant right in front of the hotel) Service and Amenities The service at Athenas Avenue Hotel was equally disappointing. The lack of daily excursion flyers or amenities typically expected from a reputable hotel was notable. This establishment appears to cater exclusively to tourists on package deals, with little regard for enhancing their overall experience. The reception's indifferent response to the bed bug issue further exemplifies their poor customer care standards. The contractors hired by Viagens Abreu to manage the guests were more focused on obtaining positive feedback than addressing actual concerns. Upon our arrival from Lisbon, their manager was eager to get a questionnaire filled out, an impossible request given our immediate need to settle in and rest. To add insult to injury, "Viagens Abreu," the agency behind the package deal, showed a callous disregard for our predicament. At the end of the trip their response was as appealing as it can be. After contacting the agency they did not even reply . They just ignored all the misery they created . In fact, despite being aware of the issues at hand, they continued to funnel unsuspecting travelers into this veritable disaster zone . Needless to say that following our distressing encounter with the hotel's conditions, attempts to communicate with "Viagens Abreu" were , as mentioned before, met with silence. They displayed a complete lack of accountability and empathy. Their response was none! Dining Experience The only redeeming feature of my stay was the breakfast, which managed to earn some positive reviews. However, no breakfast, no matter how enjoyable, can make up for the severe shortcomings in cleanli

This hotel is affordable and modern, with everything looking well maintained and not worn. Walking to Praka (old commercial area) and Hadrian's arch is manageable and, if you like walking, many of the other ancient structures and sites are within range, including the Acropolis Museum and Acropolis entrance. The neighborhood is not very inviting, but has lots of residential and commuter foot traffic that makes it feel reasonably safe. The hotel staff were generally very professional and helpful and the breakfast was good. Minor down-sides were that the three different rooms we had during two stays were all very small, as were the shower stalls. Heat was too high and not able to be controlled, so window had to be opened. Hotel is on a major road, so exhaust was an issue and traffic noise is loud and goes all night, whether window is open or not.

The hotel is clean, and the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The shower stalls are so small, I would say smaller than the capsule/tube showers on a cruise ship. If you drop the shampoo or your razor, there is not enough room to bend over and pick it up. You will have to open the shower doors and step out first. Nikos in the restaurant/bar was great. The other lady in the restaurant/bar in the evenings was a hag and acted like she didn't want us there, 2 nights in a row. The food at the hotel restaurant was good - the service not so much. The second night we ate there, 5 of us, only 3 of us received our dinner while one couple had to wait. While they were still waiting for their food, the server brought all of our bills to the table. Who does that? Yes, she brought them their bill before their food was even served. When questioned about the food, she walked over and grabbed it out of the dumb-waiter, it had been sitting there the whole time. I highly recommend taking the tunnel across the street and going to Flavour Restaurant. This restaurant was SO AMAZING. Every single dish that each of us ordered was 100% divine, and the prices were very affordable. Although the area is in the "red light district" as some have mentioned, it did not feel unsafe, and we were comfortable walking around even at night.

Clean, comfortable and convenient. We had easy access to the city center. We enjoyed the food here in the beautiful dining room but this hotel is also within walking distance to several other dining options. The staff was very helpful with all of our requests.

I spent a few nights at the hotel for a business trip. The reception was welcoming with a fast check-in process. The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable, with good WiFi. The breakfast offered several options, though it wasn’t as impressive as I’d expect from a 4-star hotel. The sound isolation wasn’t great, and I occasionally heard loud conversations in the corridor. The hotel is about a 20-25 minute walk from the city center. Overall, it’s a good choice.

Not in a good location and not close to tourist attractions. Do not book if you are with small kids, they kicked us out of the restaurant because our small child, was loud, and the staff caused quite the scene in front of all the guests. It was embarrassing to say the least. Keep in mind, we were only waiting for our room not utilizing the restaurant. Which I understand, but we were there because they were preparing our room. We were not going to wait in the hot summer sun. The area is surrounded by adult entertainment bars/clubs and not a lot of restaurants in the area. Also, one of the reasons I booked the hotel was that it advertised an airport shuttle. That is not the case, they can call and book a taxi for you just like anywhere else, but no dedicated airport shuttle. And if you are a large party/family you will need more than one taxi. Definitely not 4 star service, should be listed as a 3 star hotel at the most. The Novotel Athens has better service, amenities, and they love kids/families, and it’s listed as a 3 star. Stay at the Novotel for a more pleasant stay! Better area as well. I will admit that I should’ve looked on a map when I booked it, but I was busy with other things and just needed a place to stay for one night, thankfully it’s only 1 night or else I would eat the money and leave.

Basic hotel but clean and relatively comfortable. A work area is provided with convenient power access. Shower was very small but the bathroom clean other than that. Location is OK for what I needed but it is not in the centre of Athens by any means. The marketing pictures give the impression of a much more comfy and cosy experience than reality. The restaurant dinner was OK but nothing special.
