This hotel experience was absolutely terrible. I called and clearly expressed I was staying for three days. They must have a great scam going where they let you know your all set. I showed up at the hotel and specifically explained again I would be staying for 3 nights. Front desk couldn't program my keys to the room. They try to get you to use an I pad to check yourself in. I made the attendant.After my second night Im out on the road conducting business and I get a notification that Im checking out soon. I call the hotel and they try and gaslight me that I only booked 2 nights. Don't worry they say. We can extend your stay for another night at a rate of $500 dollars because they are having a home football game. Using psychology they know most people would feel stuck and have the need to just pay and move on because they are in the middle of a business cycle. Not me. Went back to the hotel, got my things and left. The female attendant at the front desk was rude, cold, and also half heartedly lied that she was the manager. Then backpedaled and admitted she was not the main manager. What a bunch of lying con artists trying to scam a rewards member this way.Guess what. Karma always wins.

Front desk was friendly and courteous.room clean. bed very comfortable .would stay here again. Room quiet. Breakfast was a hot meal not just pastries.

Beware, the room was 62 degrees and tried to adjust and couldn’t, asked at desk and lady came to adjust, but after getting back from dinner it hadn’t changed. The bathroom had a big hole in wall and not very clean, there were dirty socks on the floor next to bed and room smelled of disinfectant. We complained and they gave us another room which was better. The temperature control worked at least and bathroom cleaner. The bed was comfortable. In the morning we went down to the lobby for breakfast but no decaf coffee. They gave us a packet to make in the room. When we went to plug in coffee maker the outlet was falling off the wall. We left. Yes, beware as entire hotel under renovation, which has just started.

The stay met expectations. It's a nice place to stay if you're there for a University of Georgia football game or other events in the area.

I’m in Athens right now due to a sick parent at the hospital there. I started at this hotel 8/9/25 and gave a 100. deposit. I still have not yet received my deposit. I can’t back to Athens and stayed at another hotel and have already received my deposit. I was so disappointed with this hotel and should’ve read the reviews before coming. Please please Please 🙏🏽 do not stay here. It has a mold/moisture problem, so they have gnats/fruit flies in the room. When you tell them about, they brush you off and act like they care. I didn’t want to give a review but I see now they playing with my money of the deposit I gave. Also I always bring my Lysol, so that’s what I used to kill those flying bugs…It was awful to the point I couldn’t stay until 11 for check out, I left at 9. 1 star was given because of the bugs and the terrible experience I’m having with management with my money.

It seems like room hadn’t been used in a while because it had a smell to the room. Humidity was very high and the dehumidifier in the room wasn’t working properly or too small for the room size.
