Basma Hotel Aswan

Great hotel, good rooms, great buffet breakfast, however the shower was not great (very weak) and lack of attention to guests from some of the staff, especially at late check-in.

The hotel service was great. All staff were nice and kind. The restaurant was good as well.

Looks nice on the exterior but the rooms are very old. Aircon was very noisy throughout, bed was uncomfortable (uneven), service is average, breakfast is also very average. I wouldn’t recommend it for this price.

Couldn’t find my booking after booking online although the name is the same.

We arrived at noon, Check-in was at 14:00, understandable...........We waited till 14:30 to get into our twin-bedroom (even though we booked a double bedroom as a married couple) , no idea why a room would take more than 2 hours to clean up, especially that once we got into our room the floor was completely dusty and we realized that the room service workers just do a casual floor sweep while they are wearing their shoes so it was completely pointless. The bathroom was empty, literally no toiletries, when we called the reception for slippers the gentleman on the phone said the hotel doesn't have or provide slippers, HOWEVER we asked the room service lady and she immediately got us 2 pairs of hotel slippers with the hotel logo, and a lot of bathroom toiletries. So we were confused why would the gentleman on the reception would lie and say the hotel doesn't provide slippers. We gave an extra tip to the room service workers to clean the floor again. The hotel is in a good spot, with nice breakfast and nice view over the Nile, a nice swimming pool. The ladies at the reception were polite and friendly, however, the service could definitely need some improvement. Oh, and we could barely sleep at night due to some really loud speakerphone sounds like rituals or religious ceremony all night.
