Sonesta Nouba Hotel Aswan

The room was incredibly small and dated, with outdated furnishings. The water flow for washing and bathing was minimal, and the floor drain was clogged, making it difficult for water to drain. It's not suitable for families. Breakfast wasn't a buffet; each person was served a portion, which was unpalatable. Before check-in, they said children were welcome, but upon check-in, they were told they must be under 6, which wasn't clearly stated. They then forced us to pay a child's fee of over $80 per night. The problem was, even after adding the extra child-friendly service and amenities, they weren't provided. Even after I emphasized the need for an extra child's, none were delivered. Most frustratingly, there was only one complimentary bottle of mineral water; everything else had to be paid for! The staff were all men, so if you're a woman traveling alone or without a male companion, avoid this place. It's also far from the tourist attractions. The only upside is that it's right on the banks of the Nile, allowing for sunset and sunrise viewing. However, the restaurant wasn't very good, and there was no chance to watch the sunset while dining.

On our check-in day, we set off early in the morning and drove from Cairo to Aswan. After checking into the hotel, we had originally planned to have dinner at King Jamaica, but we were too tired to eat, so we opted for dinner at the hotel (our first meal of the day). The hotel dinner was quite expensive. I ordered salmon, but after taking a bite of the diced carrots on the side, I immediately vomited it because it had a sour smell. My boyfriend ordered steak, and that evening, we both suffered from stomach discomfort and diarrhea. My boyfriend ran a high fever the next day, forcing us to cancel our entire trip and stay in the hotel. We called the hotel to explain the situation and requested a thermometer and four bottles of mineral water. When the thermometer arrived, the waiter waited outside for us to return it after we used it. The restaurant waiter also brought the bill when he delivered the four bottles of water. I couldn't help but ask if the hotel had fever-reducing medicine, so they gave us two Panadol tablets. Beyond that, they offered no further explanation, simply saying that the food might have gone bad due to the heat, and that the stay was a poor experience. The waiter, Mostafa, was very warm and friendly, with a contagious smile and thoughtfulness. We left him a tip.

Facilities: A hotel built along the Nile River, with a beautiful lobby and swimming pool, Nubian-style architecture, each room has a river view, and the interior is retro and exquisite. It is far from the city of Aswan, and it takes 15-20 minutes to drive, which is suitable for self-driving. Service: Enthusiastic staff, super enthusiastic to invite us to touch the crocodile, and we ate eggshells for breakfast. The chef made us a special Nubian-style omelet to apologize and gave us a large box of fruit to take away. Hygiene: Clean and tidy, comfortable bedding

On the Nile River, a certain distance from the city center but quiet! Good service, good bartenders, the hotel atmosphere is very relaxing, you can lie down as you like, feel the cool breeze from the river, and you can choose any type of wine you like, of course, coffee~ The experience even exceeds the seaside resort city of Hurghada, the vacation is full of joy, and I regret staying for only one day
