The resort is on the seaside of the atoll, very close to the airport with a six-minute drive, and the hotel arranges pick-up and drop-off for guests, which is very convenient and worry-free. There is also a French restaurant by the sea and by the pool in the resort, which tastes good and is not expensive. As a result, I settled all three meals in the morning, lunch and evening.
The front desk of the resort only works for half a day, and the rest needs to be handled by self-help or pick-up drivers. They have a lounge near the front desk reserved for check-out guests with tea and coffee and showers.

From the start of our holiday to the day we left we had an amazing experience at Manuia, customer service, graciousness, and kindness that is hard to find in so many places in NZ is there in spades. We would love to recommend Manuia as a holiday destination, nothing was too much trouble, everyone we dealt with made us feel special and of course the location was perfect, in my opinion this side of the island has the best vibes (and naturally the stunning sunsets). Would love to go back again.

We booked in advance our special table for dinner. Arrived as booked and table had been ‘given’ to other guests ! No problem … except there was! We had booked … and driven … to the restaurant for a sunset diner … sadly a gazebo had been allowed to ‘pitch!’ Itself Infront of the restaurant which resulted in NO diners being able to view the sunset from their tables!!! My cocktail was served unadorned in a tumbler glass and No one queried why I returned it after only having a few sips. We next requested a hold on our meals so we could relocate to the beach where we could view the sunset. Sadly 5 minutes later they came to tell us our meals had been served!!! We left feeling very disappointed.

Great resort.. well looked after, meals, views and service excellent. Would highly recommend and hope to come again. Staff were so helpful, nothing was too much for them. Thank you to everyone for making this stay so enjoyable.

We've just had the best week at the manuia the service,the staff and cleanliness were top rate! I love the way the manuia integrated in to nature it's a very relaxing place nothings a problem. We saw whales chilling on the sun louger one afternoon! I would highly recommend!

A genuinely warm welcome from a relaxed staff who do everything possible to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. So many lovely surprises that would be spoiled if you come with that knowledge. If you value the environment , are seeking relaxation with the potential for exploring and learning, in luxury and kindness , then this is the place for you .

Our travel agent book this resort for use. We had a garden room, very spacious and clean with an outside shower. The gardens and the pool/ beach area are stunning, and the staff do a great job keeping it clean a tidy. The resort is close to other resorts, restaurants, and across the road is a dairy and a rental car/ bike business. Overall, we enjoyed the stay, take some mozzie spray and ear plugs for the roosters.

Another visit to this beautiful resort,albeit 15 years later.Still as peaceful and a pleasure to stay.There is no tv or radio, so a good time to relax under the palm trees with a book.The food was great and we worked our way through the menu,ceviche was one of my favourite dishes.We were woken most mornings by the warbly tones of local roosters.Hermit crabs seen scurrying along the paths in the morning.Beautiful tidy garden.The staff couldn’t do enough to make stay a pleasure.
