"I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent experience at the hotel, Quinta da Palmeira Country House. On 17/08/2023, I made a reservation for two adults and one infant for a two-nights stay. The reservation was made through *********** and was confirmed. When I arrived at the hotel, I was informed by the owner that I could not be accommodated because the only room available was in the main house and that my daughter, who is one month old, would be too noisy and disturb the other guests. I was very surprised by this response, as at the hotel page on *********** states that it is "family-friendly" and there is no mention of any age restrictions. Additionally, the hotels at the surrounding area were fully booked, so no other options for us with a baby. I was very polite to the owner, but he was very rude and unhelpful. He told me that there was nothing he could do and that I should find another place to stay at 8pm. I am very disappointed with the owner's attitude and the way I was treated. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone and I would never stay there again. I expect with this to prevent other people from having the same unpleasant experience I had."

"The hotel is clean, looking amazing. Room was big and very comfortable with great bath. outdoor pool is big with great scenery clean water - really a treat. Breakfast is OK - the usual hotel breakfast, nothing special, no vegetables but big variety of breads, cookies, croissant. This place has playing rooms (Billiard etc.), tennis court, and a LOT of public space. You need a car to go there. Recommended!"

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, set in a beautiful location in Lousã and its stunning surroundings. The staff were excellent throughout — welcoming, helpful, and always available when needed. Having now experienced four different room types, I would particularly recommend the Superior and Superior Deluxe rooms, especially the Superior Deluxe room where I recently stayed. The room was very comfortable, with good-quality linen and lovely beauty products. The outdoor swimming pool is wonderfully picturesque, and the indoor spa facilities add to the relaxing experience. Breakfast was also a highlight: generous, varied, and deluxe, with excellent local produce. I will definitely stay again."

"5 star hotel was more like a 3. Breakfast served with little variety of products and very low quality. Staff serving at the table smelling of sweat. Very poorly maintained gardens. I didn't like it at all. It needs to be inspected."

"Our friends suggested we eat here as its somewhere they have been before. Set in beautiful grounds Hotel Rural Quinta da Geia is very pretty. We had booked in advance but it was quite quiet tonight. They have a menu of the day or a selection of other delicious options. All of the food we had was tasty and cooked just to order. We would definitely return and highly recommend."
