If you are looking for good old fashioned service and care then The Nest is the right hotel for you. Although not modern, it is comfortable and their staff are exceptional.

Accommodation was excellent. The food was great. The staff was always friendly. The bed slept great and the room was clean. The view was stunning. We had an awesome time there and cannot wait to go back again.

I used the place to sleep and for breakfast. I was attending a function at the Drakensberg Sun which went on until late in the evening. Hot water takes a while before it comes. Quite concerning when one considers the time to run cold water before hot water eventually - water scarcity concern, other than time.

Everything is perfect here. Meals were great. Served course by course. More food was available if requested, (I think) it wasn’t offered and felt a bit guilty asking. Rooms clean, functional, maintained, staff friendly, good value family holiday. More than enough stuff to do on-site and nearby. Lawn bowls a rare treat with the family. It just all feels a little 1985, especially without any aircon (except in dining hall), which made the nights hot and uncomfortable.

From the time we drove on to the property, we felt at ease. Then sitting on the veranda, looking at the beautiful mountains and experiencing the tranquility; we knew we had made the right decision to spend the New Year period here. So much so, that we booked an extra night. Every member of staff are rated as excellent.
