Kuyana Amazon Lodge

We absolutely loved this lodge! It was nestled in the Amazon jungle and was secluded and peaceful as well as incredibly beautiful! The gorgeous surroundings are unreal. The food was absolutely delicious! We especially loved the cheese empanadas. So good! We had Miguel (aka: Indiana Jones) as our guide for our 4 days in this Amazon lodge. He was outstanding! He took such good care of us. He was such a gentleman & helped us so much. We couldn't decide if he was our guide or personal butler because he was always there helping us. In the end, he became a dear friend. He made sure all of our needs were taken care. Helped us find monkeys & ensured that I got to spend time with Ramona, the rescued, orphaned monkey. The lodge was clean, well maintained and so nice! We loved the pool, the tree house, everything! Do all the activities that you can. We did a hike, white water rafting, canoe ride to find fish (including piranha, wow are they fast), birds and so many monkeys!! We also indulged in 2 massages in a tree house over the river. It was heaven! We also did the cooking class where we made fish & chicken wrapped in a large leaf & cooked over an open flame. So yummy! The chocolate we made was so good & we learned so much about the history of Ecuador, chocolate, food, animals and the Amazon rainforest. Once again, Miguel taught us all this and was an absolute delight. Lu was so kind & patient during the booking process. She answered all of my many questions & made all the arrangements, including transportation to & from the lodge. Thanks to her, everything was flawless. We also met Ivan, the owner, he was very kind & made sure everything was to our liking. The rooms were beautiful and the bed comfy. We absolutely loved our stay here! If you want an Amazon Rainforest experience, look no further! Just book Kuyana Lodge. You will love it as much as we do!

We had an amazing and relaxing stay at Kuyana Lodge. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the location by the Hollín River was absolutely beautiful. The lodge and cabins are surrounded by jungle, which made the whole place feel peaceful and special. We did the Safari Jungle Experience, and it was the perfect mix of culture and wildlife for us — we really enjoyed it. The guides were great and taught us so much about the local plants and animals. Our cabin and the lodge were really well looked after and the food was superb and of very high standards. We’d totally recommend Kuyana Lodge to anyone looking for a unique jungle getaway. You won’t regret it!

We came for a long weekend and left with memories for a lifetime. Kuyana is absolutely stunning in its beauty and comfort. We arrived to a warm greeting from the staff, welcoming drink and tour of the lodge. The rooms are very comfortable, the pool and seating areas are an oasis in the jungle. We opted to do the rafting package which was a blast and so much fun. The guided hikes to the waterfalls and scenic outlook were awe-inspiring. All meals were delicious, and the chocolate making was an amazing experience. The staff are incredible and willing to help out in any way possible. Would recommend anyone looking to do something adventurous yet relaxing and tranquil to take the long road and check out this slice of Eden out in the Amazon of Ecuador.

We had a fantastic stay at Kuyana! The highlight was our guide, Miguel—extremely knowledgeable and passionate. He shared fascinating details about the Amazon’s plants, animals, and history, making every tour unforgettable. Truly one of our best vacations.

We had our wedding at kuyana lodge. It was unreal. They prepared everything for us, the traditional Quichua ceremony with music and rituals, the dinner with local products and traditional dishes. It was an amazing experience in the middle of the jungle. The lodge is beautiful and the people running it and working there are just amazing, they help us with every request we had. We will for sure be back every year.

What a fantastic experience! From the moment we were greeted until the moment we left, everything was fantastic. Our daily guide, Miguel, couldn’t have been better. He was easy going, knowledgeable, helpful and fun to talk to. The food was delicious at every meal, without exception. The cabins and grounds are comfortable and inviting. The surrounding jungle is beautiful. We took a rafting trip, arranged through Kuyana, which was exciting and beautiful. I highly recommend the rafting trip. We were fortunate enough to meet the owner, Ivan, and enjoy good conversation with him before we left.
