A little outdated but it was clean and kept up. Their service was kind a helpful. If your looking for a decent place to lay your head down for the night, this place isn't bad for the price.

Clean room, quiet environment, free breakfast, nice friendly staff. The whole entire parking lot was very well lit with LED lights. Cameras in all corners. Felt safe the whole stay. I’d 100% stay here again! Right by all the major redwood spots and the ocean. Amazing price too. Can’t beat it!

Comfy bed, decent room, fridge and microwave a plus. Breakfast very good and cheerfully provided. Night attendant more gruff and short-tempered; we interrupted his dinner and he did not make us feel welcome. Adequate linens but no soap for sink. But everything in room worked properly. Would stay again.

I don't recommend this property. Do not stay in Room 231. My standards are very low and I'm normally fine with anything as long as the door locks, but this was so bad it felt unbelievable. I wasn't told anything at check in, but later learned that the door to my room wasn't aligned properly with the lock and you have to lift it up to get it to line up. The manager looked at me like I was crazy for being confused by this when he showed me that only after physically lifting the door the lock would click. I also wasn't warned and couldn't tell from the inside, so the door could just be pushed open from the moment I got there until when I went to get dinner. At that point I learned it wasn't locking. I heard the sound of someone trying the handle at least twice, almost like someone knew it might push open. I was scared the entire time for myself and my belongings. I thought about cutting my losses and leaving but couldn't afford the expense of booking a second hotel. I would also add that only 1 of 3 bedroom lamps worked (the bathroom was fine). Only 1 of 2 charging stations worked. I couldn't get a plug to stay in the outlet on the wall. The faucet was so stuck I was worried I was going to break it. The desk phone didn't have a dial tone and didn't work so I had to call the hotel on my cell phone. There were constantly people in the parking lot and loitering outside and there was A LOT of night noise from outside, since this is the furthest room to the front of the hotel.

For an older Super 8 this was pretty decent. Hardwood style laminate floors, direct tv, beds are ok. My back did hurt a bit in the morning but most motels have beds that sag a little because they are treated as couches and trampolines too. Bathroom wasn’t glamorous but acceptable. It’s a no frills, clean and comfortable crash pad.
