"I can honestly say I've never stayed at such a bad Ctrip Gold Diamond hotel. Of course, the hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming, so it wasn't their fault at all. This hotel definitely has management problems. First, the facilities are quite old, which isn't usually a big issue in Europe. The hot water wasn't hot enough for showering in the morning, but this wasn't a problem at night, which I suspect is due to the heating system settings. Perhaps because it's the off-season, there were no staff on duty at the front desk or in the restaurant (it's hard to imagine a five-star hotel doing this). There were 3-4 large, free-roaming dogs in the hotel's outdoor area that would follow people around; although they were docile, it was still quite unsettling."

"This a hotel well worth my top rating within its category . Clean, spacious rooms with comfortable beds and pillows. Great location just off the main road with walking distance to restaurants, shops and bars. The home cooked a la carte breakfast in the cosy lounge/bar area was delicious. Various coffees,freshly squized juice and freshly baked bread was a great start of the day. But the best thing is the atmosphere and service provided by Dana, Alexandra, and the rest of the team. They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and pleasant. "

"The staff at the Arachova Inn were some of the most pleasant and helpful that I have met anywhere in Europe. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of this popular skiing village and within a few minutes walking to many good tavernas and upmarket bars. The rooms are more than adequate and I had a small balcony and overlooked the busy street below..but no noise to disturb me. The bathroom was a little small but as a solo traveler this was not a problem. Breakfast was good with the usual selection of pastries toast cereals etc.. and the added plus of American pancakes you could warm yourself. The reception area had a fireplace and bar.. this is definitely going to be my go to place a few weekends each year. And.. great value for money…"
