Booked in a day late and they gave Us wrong room. Next day they let us have a villa and was amazing! Still waiting to here back from them about my rings.

The location is stunning and we had a nice room (16). All the staff were lovely and friendly and both dinner and breakfast were very good. Fresh well cooked food and quite a good drinks and wine selection. But, our beds were far too hard even with an extra duvet folded in two placed under the sheet as a topper and the pillows were dreadful. Not a great sleep which is a real shame. This has been raised in other reviews and could be so easily rectified. Would return only if I could have a comfortable bed!

Superb location and food. We stayed in a lochside lodge which had a beautiful deck and hot tub right on the banks of Loch Linnhe. The lodge was comfortable, cosy and more spacious than it looked on the outside. Dinner in the hotel was seriously good and the service throughout was spot on - warm, welcoming & professional. And the location is hard to beat.

We stayed here recently as part of a very special trip — I had planned to propose to my partner. On arrival, we were greeted by a lovely lady at reception who was polite and friendly, and the location itself has beautiful views across the loch. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. We paid £388 for one night in Lodge 6 and were shocked at the condition of the accommodation. There was mould on the blinds, holes in the walls, and the furnishings were tired, stained, and in desperate need of updating. Whoever last decorated clearly didn’t take care — there was paint all over the bathroom tiles, radiator, and even the sofa. The overall impression was that of a grubby, poorly maintained caravan, not a premium lodge with a hot tub. I contacted the manager directly after our stay to raise these issues. They initially replied to say they would inspect the lodge and get back to me, but weeks later I have had no further response, despite follow-up emails. It’s incredibly disappointing that a stay meant to be such a memorable occasion turned into such a letdown. For the price charged, this lodge should be maintained to a far higher standard, and guests deserve much better communication and aftercare. The restaurant staff were friendly and the food was excellent, but unfortunately the accommodation itself and the lack of response from management have completely overshadowed our visit.

Stayed in the hotel for 5 nights and cannot fault. The rooms are immaculate and bathrooms spotless. Food is amazing and portions are generous. Staff are all courteous, professional and friendly. We've stayed before and look forward to staying again soon.

Stunning setting and friendly staff average food. We were a large party and took lodges and hotel rooms. The lodges were clean but a bit shabby, nothing a lick of paint wouldn’t fix…. that said they were warm and adequately equipped. The hot tub was checked daily by the hotel maintenance team and any other issues (showers and power) were fixed in a timely manner. Only complaint was the beds which were in all honesty “absolutely awful”! Come on Hollytree…… there are a lot of reviews saying the same thing here, when people are paying a couple of hundred £ a night, the least they deserve is a comfortable bed.

We wanted somewhere from which to explore the amazing scenery in the Glencoe area. Holly Tree Hotel proved a winner. Location. Not just for Glencoe, but a short distance from Fort William, Ben Nevis, boat trips on Loch Linnhe, mountain cable car, etc. Overlooking Loch Linnhe. Outstanding views, from nearly all rooms, and the restaurant. Staff. Friendly, yet professional. Welcoming. Efficient. Our room. Light, bright, clean. Wardrobe, but not many drawers. Restaurant. Great dinner menu, strong on seafood. Good portions. Loved it. Enjoyed swimming and hot tub. Could it be improved? The serving arrangement for cooked breakfast is rather clumsy, with many lids but not enough space to put them. A minor consideration. We hope to go again.
