Everything is just perfect , from the arrival welcome drinks and the staff are nice. The Onsen is also beautiful.
One thing is not good is the flashing on top of the ceiling is quite annoying for people who don’t like any light during sleep. If it can be improve, say can switch off during night time. Probably it’s a perfect hotel for family vacation!

Located right on top of a hill.
Seaview is pretty far from hotel room... Thus nothing much to see anyway.
As the Onsen is actually a bathtub attached to the inroom shower, the sulphur smell is very strong alike rotten eggs.
Stayed for one night and is a good experience.

I was worried because there are many bad reviews. It turned out it wasn't that bad, though I doubt if it is worth the high price overall. The location is good, conveniently located near Kitahama bus service centre and Beppu Station. Locating the entrance is a challenge, especially when you are with luggage. The hotel staff a nice, but I can picture that if you dun speak a bit of Japanese, it might be a bit hard to communicate with the staff.
The overall environment is nice, clean room and nice private onsen bath. A curtain is appropriate in the balcony for more privacy. It is a bit dark, both inside the room and in the corridor.
Dining is nice, great food. know it's a common practice to have set time for dinner and breakfast, but as a first time visitor to Oita, the 5:30pm dinner time was too early for me. However, the 7:30pm was fully booked on my first day of visit. Breakfast started at 7:30 and it's too late for me to catch the train so I can visit Harmonyland. There could be more flexibility for dining options and time, considering the high price guests are charged.
There are many activities and I love the outdoor footbath and the free coffee and tea service at the travelers' library.
I would still recommend the hotel to visitors to Beppu.

To be honest, this hot spring...if there is no good weather to see the sea, it is really ordinary. It is just a big bathhouse, and there is only one. The private bath on the rooftop is also very small. 700 a night is OK, plus a breakfast, if it is more than 1000, it is not recommended, the cost performance is extremely low.

The hotel environment is good. The hotel room faces the sea. The price is reasonable. One hotel and two meals. There are different restaurants every day. The food in the restaurant is of good quality. It is very close to Hell Valley. There are Starbucks and KFC opposite the hotel.

This time I brought my parents to experience Beppu Onsen. On the first day, I chose Sansuikan located in Kannawa, and I was very satisfied with it overall. First of all, the transportation is a bit far from Beppu Station. I took a taxi and it cost 💲2700. After all, I was with an old man and a suitcase. I booked a sea view room, which included dinner and breakfast. The dinner dishes were good, and what I remember most was their waiter. Although he was a little old, he was very responsible and dedicated to his work. Knowing that I don't know Japanese, she not only used English words and gestures to introduce each dish and how to eat it, but also specially found a ********* student to help translate it sentence by sentence. Thank her very much for letting us enjoy each dish in the right way. The view in the room is good, overlooking the sea in the distance and the characteristic smoking manhole cover of Beppu up close. I went to soak in the hotel hot springs on the 1st and 6th floors. The environment is very good. There is a large pool outdoors on the 1st floor, and the landscape is also good. The outdoor pool on the 6th floor is the kind of one-on-one-one-one-soup for one person. I like it very much.

We were assigned to a room in the east wing on the 5th floor. When we got up to watch the sunrise, we could also see the sea. It was really great. The location was very convenient. There was a station next to it that went directly to Yufuin and Beppu stations. The service staff are also very nice. The hot springs here are very comfortable. There are rooftop ones with sea views and outdoor ones on the first floor. They are both great. It is recommended to go downstairs at night and get up in the morning to go to the rooftop to soak in the hot springs and watch the sunrise😜
The hotel is very close to the Sea Hell, Mud Hell, White Hell and Ghost Hell on foot... They are all next to each other, and it feels good to see smoke everywhere.

I think the food and service prices are reasonable. I think eating in the room at this price is a peak, but it's a pity that the tempura is very cold.
The room is large and I am very satisfied with the sea view.
The large bathroom and the open-air bathroom are separate. When you want to move, it is inconvenient to wipe your body and put on clothes. The hot water itself is soft and comfortable, with a slight thickening.

Our stay was enjoyable, The location is very central and our room had a good view of the sea. The staff were very helpful and extremely well mannered. The breakfasts were traditional Japanese and were very good and filling. We didn't really need lunch after the breakfasts. The hotel is a little dated but is still a great place to stay so we recommend it.

LLeeEmmaIt feels like home, which is great. The drying function of the toilet is great, and the clothes will dry.
GGoogukIt was a very good place to stay for my trip, both clean and conveniently located. The room is spacious. Very suitable for families. There are complete facilities. There may be some noise from the rooms above, but we understand and still love this accommodation very much. As for the check in & check out process, it's not complicated at all if you understand it, and it's easier than you think.
CChi ManI didn't know it was an unmanned hotel when I made the reservation. The hotel didn't send me check-in information, so check-in took a long time.
Then there was no elevator, which surprised me! You have to carry your suitcase up the stairs!
The room is also clean. The kitchen has various utensils which are very convenient. There is also a washing machine in the room.
But it turned out that I had to turn on the water heater myself to take a shower, and I looked for the switch for a while.
The neighborhood is not very busy, but there is a donki to visit.
The Korean Yuan braised pork nearby is delicious.
SSusanne ThielThis accommodation is primarily practical. It's all you need and the parking is right in front of the door.
What unfortunately did not like was the quality of mattresses. You feel every pearl. Also the sofa was old and uncomfortable. In the bathroom, there was no haak to hang towels.
It is a rebuilt store. When you open the windows forcing, everyone who passes through the street can look directly in. Airs only go if you leave the door up front.
For 2 nights OK if you're otherwise on the way.
PPanchanThe location is close to Jr station, cleanness but I have a bit problem to get jn the hotel coz no staff at this hotel and everything have to do by yourself
BBreadThe hotel is very close to Beppu Station, about a 5-minute walk away, but check-in is a bit troublesome. I don't think I need to confirm with the hotel beforehand. The hotel will send me the check-in voucher code again, so I have to wait on the street in the cold weather. Fortunately, I contacted trip.com and the staff responded immediately, but it took me 20-30 minutes to get into the hotel. It was a very bad experience😢😢😢😢
JjcsjtuThe second stop of the trip to Kitakyushu in Japan came to the Grand Bese Beppu Hotel (Grand Base Beppu). The hotel is about 700m from Beppu Station and within walking distance.
The hotel is apartment-type, with a full set of kitchen equipment, washing machine, etc. The room is large, there are three beds, two big and one small, can accommodate 5 people, the toiletries are very simple, there are towels and toothbrushes.
The most important thing to say is that this is a completely self-check-in and check-out hotel, no waiter is visible, and the door is closed, there is a password to enter, and the self-check-in window (a video interactive screen) is located inside. The most critical question is, if you book the hotel on Trip.com, should you give me (received) an access code and registration for check-in, and then get a room password after successful registration. However, Trip.com did not give me any passwords and instructions or tips from the beginning to the end (mail/sMS). It was not until I arrived at the door that I found out that this is a fully self-service hotel. I carefully read the English and Japanese instructions at the door and knew that I needed to register. I left a contact number. Under the rogue, I am ready to start the international long-distance contact with the hotel (by the way, if I don’t understand Japanese or English, it’s really annoying). After entering the door, I got the access code and communicated the checkin method after entering the door, and obtained the registration code. Waiting for nearly half an hour. The contact (expended an additional fee of RMB nearly 30 yuan) finally completed the stay of 2 rooms. In this case, it is completely Ctrip's responsibility!
MMIHO.c9Some people live normally like an apartment hotel!
The parking lot is numbered and 3.4.5 can be parked!
You need to enter the number to enter the entrance!
I didn't know the number, so I called and heard it!
And you need a number to enter the room!
Maybe the two numbers were written in the email.
I don't know, but I've erased my email.
and i finally put in the phone again. but check in
ipad! here, ID, phone number, precheck in
You can choose, you can't enter the phone number. Call again
Listen to the ID and enter. The bet is a double bet with 3 wide 々☆
Kitchen supplies are dishes, cups, spoons, forks, chopsticks
There was a range and a pot!
The bath had shampoo, conditioner, body soap, bath towel and towel.
no towels to wash your body. and the rubber packing on the door
I couldn't clean it and there was garbage in the corner.
The corner of the bath is a little pink.
The washing surface has a toothbrush set and hand soap.
Washing machine, washing machine, dryer もあり Convenient!
but i stopped by the dryer's filter clog.
Looking at the filter, it's a bitch!
It's layered, so take it and dry it.
The toilet has a big dust in the gap of the lid. The toilet bowl was beautiful.
I used it with my family, I relaxed in the room, I just went to bed
Thank you for staying at this amount.
KKeng LongI have transport and is easy to reached here)
Great and value for Money,
clean and spacious.
just need to make sure you have the check in detail.
as it is a self check in hotel.
(if need car park, need to request for location just a short walk)
AAnonymous UserIf you make a reservation on Trip.com, you don't seem to receive a guide. I visited without knowing the password for check-in. I made a call while writing a phone bill, but someone who can only speak Japanese received a call. It was too uncomfortable to know the password. I didn't know how to connect to Wi-Fi. Other than that, the rest was satisfied. Location facilities are satisfactory
