Hotels with Breakfast in Beppu

Celebrated 520 (May 20th) by booking a more upscale meal that day, and the experience was great ❤️. The location is fantastic! It's a 5-minute walk to Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell), so we went straight there after breakfast when it was less crowded. Regarding service, I have to say: it was the rainy season, and there were many staff members standing at the entrance, but they only bowed. It felt awkward watching adults and children run into the hotel in the rain to check in, and checking out involved carrying our own luggage in the rain too.

This trip included 1 night in Fukuoka, 3 nights in Beppu, and 2 nights in Kumamoto. Among them, this hotel in Beppu was the most satisfying in terms of room space and price. The room had a washing machine, microwave, and dishes. There's a coin-operated dryer downstairs, which was a lifesaver on rainy days as I didn't have to worry about drying clothes. Don Quijote is right next door, making shopping very convenient. On the 11th floor, there's a free open-air hot spring bath, which really helped to soothe away travel fatigue. I stayed in Beppu for 3 nights, mainly to visit Yufuin and the Hells of Beppu. It's about a 10-minute walk from the hotel to Beppu Station West Exit. Taking the Kame-no-i Bus No. 36 to Yufuin was very convenient, taking about 50 minutes, and the scenery along the way was also quite nice. Not far from the hotel entrance is the Beppu Tower bus stop, which is also very convenient for getting to the Hells of Beppu. I recommend buying the Kame-no-i Bus 2-day pass for 2800 yen, which is a good value for round trips to Yufuin and the Hells.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights here in late May 2026. And wow - this place is super impressive! This was by far the best hotel / resort we’ve stayed at during our Japan trip (nearly 3 months of traveling central and southern Japan). The rooms are spacious, extremely clean, luxurious. You have your own private indoor onsen, outdoor onsen, cold plunge tub, sauna and if in the summer, your own private pool. You have a full size kitchen, full western style living room with a TV, full Japanese style living room, multiple toilets and a beautiful bathroom. And a beautiful view overlooking Beppu below! The food is absolutely delicious. The staff and their service are professional, knowledgeable and very welcoming. It’s close to the 7 hells of Beppu attractions so it makes for an easy day trip too. And if you’re looking for a public onsen experience, its sister property is a 5 minute walk from this resort. It’s a newer establishment without many reviews yet, but take my word for it, you won’t be disappointed. We truly loved our stay here and we will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our stay at KOKO Hotel Premier Hakata. The location is very convenient, with easy access to Hakata Station and many nearby attractions. There is also a convenience store right next door, which was extremely handy during our stay. The staff were friendly, helpful, and responded promptly whenever assistance was needed. The hotel and guest rooms were tidy and well maintained. One thing to note is that daily room cleaning is not provided, so while the room was generally clean and comfortable, I would not rate it at the highest level of cleanliness compared with hotels that provide daily housekeeping service. Amenities such as toothbrushes, tea, and other supplies are available at the lobby for guests to collect as needed, which is a practical and environmentally friendly approach. Overall, a comfortable and well-located hotel with good service, and I would consider staying here again when visiting Fukuoka.

Gorgeous hotel on the bay in Beppu with stunning views of the sea and mountains. Hotel is modern and beautiful, influenced by traditional craftsmanship and architecture. Meals are delicious and draw on local delicacies. Service is so-so. Staff seem overwhelmed and distant. Lots of activities planned for guests, but noise doesn’t travel. Hot springs are relaxing, although there are only two baths inside and one, small one outside. Shop is not great. Would recommend the hotel consider selling some of the dish ware or toiletries in the bathroom or other crafts and or local products from Oita, etc.

The room was very spacious and the hotel's design was beautiful, especially the private onsen – it was amazing! We drove there and parking was very convenient. It's about a 20-minute drive from Yufuin, so we could explore and then come back to relax before heading out for dinner nearby. It was a very laid-back and enjoyable stay!

Hygiene: Extremely clean and tidy, with no unpleasant odors in the bathroom. Environment: Very close to JR Beppu Station, just a one-minute walk via a small path. It's also not far from the beach, about a 7-minute walk. Service: Smiling service, and the tempura at breakfast offered a good variety and tasted delicious. Facilities: Shared rooftop baths and a pool with the main building next door, as well as the breakfast area on the first floor. The room itself is a bit small, and the bathroom door frame is very easy to trip over.

Beppu was a great landing spot! It's also really close to Oita. I managed to get the manhole cover cards, but unfortunately, I couldn't go to Yufuin no Mori because the transportation to Yufuin is under renovation. Guess I'll have to come back next time and see if there are any good collectibles to splurge on!

This ryokan is located at the top of a hill and it's very quiet Place is huge and you have a private onsen though the water is scorching hot Need to put a lot of cold water so that the onsen can be used Tough part is that the leaves keep falling from outside into the onsen and you have to use the net to catch it Another issue is check-in latest is by 6pm (otherwise there's no front desk) If you are ok with the check-in constraints, then this place is pretty good

I stayed here for 2 out of 3 nights. I booked it because of its good location, affordable price, and the fact that I could smoke. The exterior is surprisingly old, which caught me off guard at first, haha. I booked a Japanese-style room, and once inside, it had a wonderfully calming and indescribably lovely atmosphere. After a tiring day exploring Yufuin and Beppu, returning at night felt like coming home; the fluffy futons, table, and Zaisu (floor chairs) were incredibly comforting. The front desk staff were all very kind gentlemen. Even though it was close to 11 PM, when I asked to borrow a hairdryer, they offered to bring it to my room instead of making me go get it, showing excellent service. I always choose Japanese-style rooms when available (as I dislike beds), and this has become one of my favorite hotels. Although old, it was meticulously clean. The cleaning staff I met in the morning were as polite as the front desk, making for a pleasant check-out. If I ever go to Beppu again, I'd definitely want to stay here! The station is right in front, so I could reach the bus, tourist information center, and coin lockers in just a minute first thing in the morning, which made my Saturday trip, even with the crowds, very comfortable. As it was my first time in Kyushu, it made for a great memory. Thank you!
